What is your charity shop bargain of the week?

  • There seems to be a lot of good stuff in the charity shops at the mo and I've found several things recently.

Pair of almost new curtains, £6. I'm now about to repaint our hallway and with a little adjustment the curtains will be ideal at the front door as they are a perfect colour match with the carpet.

Bob the builder construction site, Postman Pat friction van, Dizzy (from Bob the builder), Bob the builder hat (with sounds) - 50p each. The boys are very happy!

Local CS currently has a half price sale on summer clothing - picked up a Monsoon kaftan, gorgeous teal/turquoise/blue pattern and dropped waist belt. Looks great on and will be ideal over winter with a black poloneck jumper and skinny jeans/leggings and boots. Looks like new and was only £1.25 :)

Found pair of Denim co skinny jeans in a teal/emerald green colour, again fantastic with black poloneck and boots for winter - 60p

Wrap around dress from Gap, great with long sleeve top underneath and thick tights - again 60p

Brand new in packet 6 pairs 'pirate' pants for the boys - £2

Fireman Sam 3 wheel scooter, very sturdy and good condition bargain at only £2!

Also my stepmother bought a BNWT M&S Autograph beachwear long top/kaftan has the original label price on at £29.50 was only 75p!

It seems that the local CS has a half price sale on for a week then 2 final days of 'fill a carrier bag for a £1' so I'm just going to have to go back to see what they have next week.
  • My 2 bookcases are being collected tomorrow morning. I do like the good feeling from giving donations when you can't afford to give cash, & can't buy stuff. It all helps - after all if you love charity shop shopping, donating ensures it keeps going. :)
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.

just back from holidays, yesterday we were in a charity shop in bognor regis, it was like a jumble sale an so dirty (and i really could not be bothered to root around) as i turned to leave i saw a jackfield teapot for £4.50. my mum collects jackfield ware so it will be part of her christmas pressie. no chips, origional lid, it just needs a bloody good clean. i am well pleased.
Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"
