I'm the same now regards looking in a 'proper' shop and thinking "I'm not paying that!!"
I've gone the opposite way to you, and have gone from a size 8/10 to a 12, and so none of my jeans/pants fitted me, I've got so many new pairs and tops etc from the charity shops, some new as well!
Thanks GeorgieI reached 100lbs lost 3 days ago
It did wonder for my health, my self-esteem but also my wallet
I'm the same, I resent paying full price now! Especially when I look at how much the Hobbs, Zara, Bana Republic and the likes would have cost me in real shops! I'm far too poor to be able to afford such nice clothes when they're brand new :rotfl:0 -
A pair of size 4, Totector, deck shoe style, steel toe caps for £5.99.
They were a lairy shade of green nubuck but I bought some dye (£2.85) and as the soles, stitching, eyelets and laces were all black, dyeing the shoes black was a doddle.
I've got a nice pair of steel toe caps shoes for less than a tenner! Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -
Thanks Georgie

I just love getting a bargain, and if it's something like a big name brand which is usually very expensive when new, well that's even better!
My DH is wanting to lose some weight, he needs to lose a good 2-3 stone I would say. He's tried numerous times before, but never seems to lose anything.0 -
OH loves labels being a `casual' footie fan. Recently I spotted a silky bomber-style black jacket that I thought he might wear for £3.99. Got it home, showed him and was amazed by his quite literally gobsmacked reaction....Turns out it was something called Stone Island. And it was £800 on the company website. I was astounded.Current debt and mortgage: £25, 820.35 Debt/Mortgage at start: £92,598 (27/09/2010)

Hi all
I'm finding that i'm getting some pretty decent stuff now that i'm going to my local shops pretty regularly. The past two days i've got:
*Cream Ted Baker cardigan £1
*Cameo Rose @ New Look Blue Embroided Tea Dress New with tags £1
*3 x floral vintage dresses St Michael etc £1 each.
*Red TU cardigan £1
*Floral Miso @ Republic dress £1
*Orange Floral Zara Dress £1
*2 x Baby Ted Baker shirts £1 each.
Lots of bargains for me this week. The £1 bargains were from a charity shop in my town thats sadly closing down on Saturday and all stock had been reduced to £1 or less. I would have bought tons more if there was more in my size.

A silk Diane Von Furstenberg dress for £9.99.
A bag (replica Mulberry Alexa) for £6.00.
Some paperbacks for 30p and 50p.A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

I'm going to Cardiff in a couple of weeks - wondering if anyone knows if there are any good charity shops within walking distance of the city centre? I have a day by myself so fancy a wander around to see if I can spot any bargains :-)0

Bought a lovely fuchsia pink & green flowered jersey maxi dress by Mantaray in our local Hospice shop for £6.00.
Maybe a bit on the expensive side but they retail at £40+ and it looks in excellent condition.
Plus 2 paperback books to put away for holidays for 25p & 50p.0 -

I search for 'charity shops' on yell.com and make a note of the address and check where they are on the map attached to yell.com.
I then print out a large scale map from theaa.com.
I keep the list of addresses in case I go back to the same place.0
