A £1.99 shirt that I turned into a cushion cover with added floral embellishments....and had some left over to stick on something else.

I'm off to a workshop tomorrow to learn how to make one of those! :)

This weeks bargain has to be the burgundy Boden silk and cotton cardi for only 50p :j:j:j in my size as well!

  • Been really lucky in the shops after a very long dry spell. Picked up a fabulous winter coat by Jaeger, wool and camel hair, the perfect length and style, for €12! I'd gone round a few shops in the city that day, and picked up things for twice the price that I was 'meh' about, so when I least expected it, this beauty came along!

Got some Levi jeans for €4, that I might cut into shorts, and a modern Jaeger dusky pink blouse made from linen and silk, for €3!

    Hi all :)

Popped into my local charity shops again today and as usual picked up some great bargains.
    *Vintage tea dress £2.99
*Next heart print peplum top £3.50
*New Look leopard print bow t-shirt £1.75
*New Look floral top (last year's was going to buy last summer but I was pregnant) £2.99
*Dotty P's swan print peplum top £3.00
*White Stuff kaftan, which will double up as a summer dress too £1.99

Also saw an Adidas coat for my DS for 29p but it was 0-3 months and although it would just fit think he'd only wear it once so left it for another mum. Off to the carboot tomorrow if the weather stays dry.

    Suze :)

Hi everyone, enjoying all your CS bargains.

My best CS bargain of this last week was a baby bath seat, which normally seem to cost between £10 and £20, for 30p! It is in fabulous condition so we are delighted

Today I picked up an EasiYo yoghurt maker in the local CS for £3. Probably won't buy the sachets to use with it, but it seems like a fuss free way of making yoghurt from scratch. Last week, in the same charity shop, I got 2 Laura Ashley red gingham chair pads for £1 each, look in perfect, as new condition. Really pleased with my bargains! These were both from my favourite charity shop, which is a little bit out of town, and much more sensibly priced than some others.

:rotfl: That's what I thought too! I never think of really clever names!
  • I got an amazing bargain today! A pair of Bally shoes (black patent with gold trim and gold heel) for £12.99 from Oxfam in Ilkley. I know £12,99 doesn't sound that cheap but they are brand new and would have cost over £300!!! I can't stop admiring them and can't wait for the right occasion to wear them! And I really did need some new shoes honest!

I got a thing for holding paper when you are typing or holding a book open for £1.50 today. That might sound a bit naff but I was really pleased as I know I will use it loads.

I've sent loads to the cs over the last couple of days - I am trying to have a big clearout - so I am trying to be good and not fill the space up with other stuff.

Due to a change in circumstances I'm going to be donating a lot over the next few weeks (or more) and on a buying ban. :(
