Well I got myself some great bargains today, a Daewoo 800w silver coloured microwave for just £15, microwaves go for more than that on ebay round here, and we've needed a new one for over 2 years! (We bought one after our wedding with matching kettle & toaster & a week later it stopped working & they had no matching ones left, so we kept using our really old one)!
Also got a hand held vac for £10 so I can actually hoover the stairs again, (when I got our old dirt devil out of storage and pluged it in to charge, smoke came out of it, and I never got round to replacing it) again they kept on selling for more on ebay.
The Artemis Fowl Files, £1.25 (now have all the books).
Finally treated myself to a lovely top for £1.99.A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0 -
The thing I love about charity shops is the surprise, I don't know what I am looking for but I know when I find it!!Slightly bitter0

I saw a very good quality jersey dress in lovely jade & purple swirls in Arthritis Concern - but it was a size 26! And I'm a size 14.
If it's still there on Saturday, I'm seriously considering buying it and making a calf length fitted shift dress out of it.

I always see gorgeous things that are not in my size. If they a size or two bigger depending on the style then that's fine, as I like somethings to be looser, but usually they are one or two sizes too small grrrrrr!0 -
I'm getting really picky in c/shops now, as I simply don't have room for more impulse buys. However today I couldn't resist an as new pair of quite stylish black ecco flatties in Oxfam for £6.99 in my exact size (6.5). Half sizes are hard enough to find even in 'proper' shops!
The nearest style to them that I can fine online are £70. Well pleased, as I'm going to a birthday party next week, and was wondering what shoes to wear with my black Per Una jeans that I got for £4 last week! :T
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe
