Every few weeks I have to change buses at a certain stop and it's right by a Scope shop. Everything in there is £1 on the clothing racks and I always have a quick look.
I am making tote bags out of t-shirts for my daughter's school's PTA to sell for fundraising and I found 2 perfect tshirts...one even says 'shopaholic' on the front!!PAYDBX 2016 #55 100% paid! :j Officially bad debt free...don't count my mortgage.
Now to start saving...it's a whole new world!!0 -
In the last week I've bought a lovely Per Una maxi dress in pink & purple jersey - the really nice quality that 'bounces' IYSWIM. £7.99 from Lighthouse (not really sure what this charity shop does but we have a few in our area), maybe a bit pricey but I know this dress sold for £39.50.
Also an unworn (or at least unwashed as they still have the tiny paper circle on the label) pair of M&S pale grey 100% linen trousers with a fine white stripe. £2.50 from RSPCA.0 -
Every so often I just like to say a big 'THANK YOU' to all those people who buy lots of clothes then donate them to charity shops so us MSE-ers can get such great bargains. :T0

Are you from Poole by any chance? If so, I think it's a Centre for the Arts....I googled it, I was curious! :rotfl:0 -

Nowhere near Poole, LOL, North Derbyshire.
Next time I go in I'll have to take more notice of what/who they are supporting or ask a volunteer.
They tend to be a bit on the expensive side for clothes but I did buy an almost new Tripp suitcase a while ago for £7.50.0 -
A pair of Ray-ban sunglasses for me for £1.25. I am so pleased as I really needed some sunglasses and these ones are perfect
Not a charity shop find but an ebay one; our Rayburn that we got for £150 and it works!
It is now fitted and doing it's job beautifully0 -

Ah lol! It was the first thing that came up on google! I've never heard of them before?
I find a lot of charity shops are a lot more expensive than they used to be. They're more aware of how much an item is worth etc.
I went in about 4 shops yesterday, and came out with nothing
(Had to correct the autocorrect, it corrected 'with nothing' to 'itching' :rotfl:)0 -
