DD is getting married in July and we are organising the wedding on a tight budget. Best bargain has to be a M&S tailored, slim fit suit for DH for £5. In 'as new' condition, perfect fit everywhere!
DH has lost a lot of weight recently so he is chuffed by the 'slim fit' label. Father of the bride is going to look so handsome0 -
I went all round my local High St a couple of weekends ago, including in all the posh shops like LK Bennett etc and didn't see anything I liked at all.
A week later and I found a lovely 100% silk Jesire summer dress in my favourite colour (green) in a charity shop for £6.They are an EYESORES!!!!0 -
Whilst volunteering at th BHF on Sunday, I got 2 little Toby jugs that say Frizington (a local village) on the bottom for my Dad. He was born there, and I lived there for the first 6 months after I was born, so he was chuffed with them!
They were only £1.50 each. It's not often you find something local like that.
A pair of Abercrombie and Fitch shorts for the OH for £3.99.0 -
Have done really well yesterday and today in our local charity shops.
Me and OH have just got married and are using the money we recievd to finish decorating out house- we have just done our bedroom and needed furniture and have today bought a wardrobe, dressing table and china cabinet for the grand some of £160 including delivery. Big solid old wooden ones which we hope to paint up to match our rooms.
Hubby has bought 6 dvds, a couple of which he says are recent releases.
I bought 11 books- some were 3 for a pound.
Bought my mum 3 balls of that crinkly wool that you knit into scarves for £1.
Quite a few vintage style small plates to go in my china cabinet.
One of nicest bits was a ceramic egg holder- a saw one on a blog once and it was used for putting earings in. I'm always losing mine so this will go on my new dressing table. It was £1.99 and we've seen one today in a shop for full price £4.99.
Oh and 6 vintae brooches for 50p each.
Havn't found anything I liked for ages so really pleased with our haul- and all helping to get our house just as we want it.April £5 a day challenge- £15.05/£1500 -

Saw some in Aldi this week about the same size - £3.99 for 6
nipped out this morning & have noticed that our local hospice is opening a shop just round the corner from me....................;)
Happy Hunting Everyone!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
A lovely tropical flowered jersey maxi dress with racer back for £5.00, fits really well (doesn't show my love handles) - however looking out of the window at the weather maybe it's not so much of a bargain after all..... :rotfl:0

Today from my local hospice shop I bought a gorgeous handmade quilt for £5. I've been looking for a while for a quilt and this one is big enough to fit our king size bed.0
