My bargain these last two weeks? I have spent nothing in any of the charity shops due to being ill, and you know what? I am not missing any of the stuff I didn't buy!Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

On my travels today, happened across a CS that was open & bought a wooden walking stick for £1- they had been given a huge amount of them. Plus, a comedy dvd for £1.50 & a Christmas dvd for £2.50.
also came across a carboot sale packing up today & had a look at one stall where the lady told me that she was selling everything for 20p each as she didn't want to take it home.
I bought -
2 brand new spice/pepper mills with £8.99 each price tags attached.
2 oval trays,
a new & boxed fabric covered photo album,
a lemon drizzle cake,
a sweet little cruet set for my mum,
& a silk headscarf for her.
**edit - & a china mug
& a teapot**
and then the seller asked if i could possibly take 7 wooden dining chairs with me  - no I couldn't, I've only got a small boot!
from another packer-upper i got for 50p each, 2 tall, wooden barley-sugar lamp bases that will match some candlesticks0 -
I got a mothercare moses basket and rocking stand for £10 in the sally army shop thats a huge saving means i can put the money i saved towards clothing baby bean when it arrivesSometimes i like to imagine that im living on the breadline as a single mum with 3 children to feed and clothe, bills to pay and very little time to myself........ then i wake up and realise im a princess with prince charming by my side and a lovely white castle........ oh wait

Not at CT but at carboot today I bought 42 knitting mags for £4! I am a very happy bunny.
Just need to find somewhere to hide them from OH now.0 -

Not bad, huh :j

We're brand new charity shop converts!
CK and I wandered past a charity shop on Friday and I saw a lovely maxi dress in the window. In the time the shopkeeper got the dress off the dummy and I had established it was my size, I turned round and CK had three shirts in his arms and looked terribly pleased with himself!
We've since visited a few others in the local area and are now the excited owners of:
CK:
Six short-sleeved 'holiday' shirts - M&S, River Island and H&M
Me:
Maxi dress from M&S
Rainbow scarf
Cardigan from M&S
Pink top from Monsoon
In total we've spent £43! Bargain.0 -
Shopping with friend & just 'happened' to look in the BHF shop .... nice little pink handbag that is a perfect match to a jacket I have for £1.99Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

Those are the bags in the pic: drawstring cut from the detatched sleeves fed around the bottom seam or tassels cut into the bottom tied to their opposite to seal the bottom. Bingo! They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.0 -

Well I ventured out yesterday for some shopping and managed to make it to a couple of charity shops. Got a lovely M and Co short sleeved red jumper top for £2, looks brand new and I love the colour. Resisted getting anything else though- I can use this as had a clean out of some bobbly jumper tops last month
