What he thinks about Working Links is immaterial and irrelevant. I think that the Prime Minister is paid too much money, but hey that's my personal opinion.

Some people take action when they disagree with things in principle. The Work Programme diverts billions of pounds from the welfare budget and EU funding in to schemes which have, in the past, proved to be ineffective. Very few people have secured jobs through any Work Programme initiative.

The people who benefit the most from the Work Programme are the CEOs and directors of the companies that cream off massive sums of taxpayer's money.
Emma Harrison of A4E being a prime example, she trousered £9,000,000 of taxpayers money last year.

By not complying with requests, which are entirely within one's rights, made by these work programme providers, it sends out the message that some people disagree with the obscene amounts that are being received by a lucky few at the top from public funding.

There is nothing that a work programme provider can do that cannot be done by the individual themselves. The advisers just search for jobs on the internet and present them to the client, or send a CV on their behalf if given consent. Given the educational standard and standards of English witnessed of these 'advisers', I would personally want to apply for any jobs myself.

I think it is now fairly obvious that this person will do everything in their power to prevent ANY organisation attempting to find a job.

Millions of people have their CVs on personal web sites, agency web sites and send them direct to companies in the hope of getting a job. This person is doing the exact opposite and should be sanctioned for putting up every obstacle possible in the search for work.

I take it that your friend is moving heaven and earth to find a job himself?

Obviously, all of those advocating their CV being given to ANY third-party whatsoever, won't mind posting up a direct link to their CV online.

You are hitting the nail on the head with your comments on these 'work providers.' Their lack of standards leads him to believe that his information will not be secure, viewed by any Tom, !!!!!! or Harry, and probably misused by way of putting him forward for positions and training which is totally unsuitable, all for the sake of profiteering by the provider.

So is your friend trying to get a job himself? And will he provide his CV to the prospective employer?

As I have written before he has been fulfilling his job seekers agreement which entitles hm to jsa. He has never been 'called in' or sanctioned.

So for any mischievous doubters out there he is doing everything that is required of him.

I don't have mine on a personal website but at last count I have sent an up to date CV to 8 different agencies. They will, as a matter of course while looking for work for me, forward these on to employers who have roles that meet my requirements and pass the first cut sorting at agency level.

If working links provide him with suitable employment opportunities he will most certainly go through the normal process that we all do.

So working links are acting a bit like an agency.

However they have their hands tied because they don't have his CV so can not identify suitable roles.
