more csa woes

anguk, frustrating is not the word!!! i can not beleive that a parent no longer with care, can still claim all these benefits, and not be checked on, as far as we are aware, and told by the csa, they are still trying to contact her via telephone, which she isnt answering!!!!
I agree, that they shouldnt take the nrp word for it, but surely, they can contact cb direct, of dss direct!!!! or would that be too easy for them;)
Meanwhile us now pwc, are paying twice , out of money we genuinely dont have,,,,, shall trot over to the debt board shortly0 -
thank you prelude, she has signed on prelude, she gets paid tuesday. Shall mention opstrat and cis on monday, when they receive there next phone call!!!
Definitely, it'll show them that you know what you're talking about - explain that you can also send in a copy of her award letter from JobCentre Plus but that this shouldn't be necessary as they can verify her status from their own systems.0 -
If it was the other way round (ie, nrp not answering phones), the CSA would be doing everything they could!!! (say that half heartedly cos when there good, there good, bad, there bad)!!!
Can't believe yr still being given the run-around!!! The PWC (WHO DOESNT CARE) is a disgrace and gives other PWC's a bad name!!!!
Hope you sort it this week and hope she gets fined or somat for fraud!!!!:mad:The feeling i got when i confirmed my place studying criminology at Exeter Uni was brilliant!!!!!
The pride my children told me they had in me was even better!!!!! # setting positive example to children is OUTSTANDING!!!! !:grouphug::grouphug::smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea0 -
Of course no longer having the child with her and losing child benefit and child tax credit would also have an impact on any other benefits she was getting, things like housing or council tax benefit. So my guess is she'll ignore any contact from CB and CTC for as long as she can so she can hold onto those benefits.
And in the meantime the "nrp" has to continue paying CTC and support the girl because she's actually living with him! Double whammy! And I suspect CTC won't refund the money that's been paid to the mother all these weeks.Dum Spiro Spero0 -
if it were, that my husband missed a payment, they would of made sure that they got hold of us!! no , he has never missed a payment by the way.
just a hypothetical question, if "qc" moved back home, say next week?? she isnt, but if she did, would she be able to cancel jsa, and then would her mum be able to continue with csa , ctc , cb payments etc??
I am thinking this is why, she is ignoring calls, so she can try to get her daughter to move back home, for a week or so , then for the whole circle to start again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
I was in a situation where I was paying full maintenance liability for my kids, but they were staying with me in excess of 156 nights per year. The CSA would only take the PWC's word for this, not mine as the NRP. It was up to me to convince the PWC to contact the CSA to reduce the payment. Obviously, there was no incentive whatsoever for the PWC to do this.0

She has 56 days absence by the child before she needs to report it. If child goes back, all will continue as before, though I have no idea about JSA processes and if they figure. i just know mother has 56 days before she is in any way obliged to drop her ChB claim.....0

And, by the way, if she is still claiming, she will keep the benefit for 3 weeks after your rival claim was received...so if you were claiming (and maybe you should as your not sure of situ ongoing) the benefit would not transfer to you for 3 weeks. Dont let the CSA tell you that you must keep paying for those 3 weeks, as it is b******s!0

just a little update,,, sd lived with us for four months, however, her "mum" informed her they were going on holiday without her,,,, so sd became "difficult"saying we had to give her money so she could have a holiday, new clothes etc etc, even tho she was claiming, started ignoring house rules etc etc,,, decided to move back home in july. It wasnt a case of we wouldnt give her money more a case of we didnt have it to give. There are 4 other children in household, and have robbed peter to pay paul for years, the fact we werent paying her mum csa meant we could actually pay all the bills , rather than going round in circles, and give her the odd tenner.
Her mum promptly reapplied for tax creds and csa,,, only to be told she couldnt as the child wasnt in full time education.
step daughter has now gone back to college, and her mum has now reapplied for csa,,,,, my question is,,,, she is 19 in november, will it stop date of her birthday, or will we have to pay till next year, not saying we shouldnt pay, however, its the amount we struggle with.
Although we kept her for all them months i never took anything of her, and provided all toiletries etc and food of her choice (very picky eater), i knew she was going back to college, but, i always said if she was living with us, i would expect her to apply for part time work, and wouldnt of took anything of her mum.
Pretty upset to be honest, i didnt think her mum would apply for two months, yet i should of known different0 -
What a pathetic excuse for a mother...! How can people be so petty...! 2 months is ridiculous, especially if you took nothing for the 4 months you had her...
It is hard to know what to do. Just grin and bear it knowing that at 19, there is no more choices, and then the so called mother will have nothing to get anymore, and the daughter will be stuck living in a cardboard box...!0
