more csa woes

i had a similar problem last year, with my son,he left school , i informed the csa and child benefit he was on an apprenticeship, yet my ex hubby also informed them, as my case had gone to the complaints team for something else, the lady dealing with it informed me that the csa can actually check with the child benefit team, but dont always do it.
If we wait for the pwc to inform them, it will never happen, i have found out today that the qc had been told not to let us know she had been kicked out of college, as she would loose benefits etc,,,,,and now we do know, she has kicked qc out of the house!!!!:(0 -
i dont think its a problem with cb either, i think the csa is also responsible, as they take the pwc word for it,,, if they can ring an employer and check that the nrp is working, why, can they not contact a college to check the qc is in education??0

Exactly!!!!!!!!! looks like we're in a impossible situation :mad:0 -
doesnt it just!!! i just hope, we find a solution soon skibadee, no objection to supporting qc, just object to supporting her mum when shes not living there, and not benefitting from the money.
Never mind, i beleive in karma:p0 -
But they've not just taken the PWC's word for it though, have they? They've contacted Child Benefit. Likewise if the NRP said the kid wasn't at college and PWC said they were, but Child Benefit *wasn't* in payment then they'd make the decision to exclude the child.
It's not a question of taking one side's word for it, it's about the available evidence.
OP, all you can do is make the CSA aware and if you feel that the PWC is fraudulently claiming Child Benefit then report her.0 -

That is the point though, they use a government agency to make use of a government agency, meaning that any fraud committed leaves an NRP paying in the meantime when there is no legal obligation to pay.
Much like everything else in life, this is something that needs to be looked at within the CSA, and with benefit fraud widespread and not very often prosecuted for it is very easy to have your cake and eat it, and that is something that is just not on in this day and age.
Everything is open to abuse if you find a way to beat the system, benefit especially, but the CSA is used to obtain money from the proverbial cash cow (nrp) for as long as possible by any means, and as is proven time and time again, it is NOT about the kids, but about the money that can be obtained through them with no regard for the NRP on the other end of it.
I have to say, if i had proof, and i didn't have a DEO, and the CSA would not stop the claim, i would definitely stop paying them...!!! It is downright despicable that this goes on...!0 -
even by making the cb agency, the csa still see it, that as long as cb is being paid, whether they are investigating it or not, she is classed as being entitled to csa payments.
We will not be able to claim any payments back, and its not a little amount, yet the pwc will still be getting them , as she is entitled. What about what we are entitled.
Kev, i agree with what yur saying, u talk sense. My hubby as always been a cash cow, for more years than he can remember. He also brought up other children in his previous relationship, and continued to support them long after the relationship ended.
Unfortunately, it is all about the money, that can be generated, the kids are just incidentals in it, that is very sad. I have suggested to my husband that he stops paying, but the csa are so stupid they would go straight for a deo, which we certainly do not need nor can we afford.0 -
The CSA tried the child benefit trick with me...my ex claimed it for months after our son departed his care......The CSA fought me...lots of CSA officials fought me- sticking to the story 'legisaltion dictates' I wrote to appeals, reiterated the facts of my sons residency and all of the CSA officials were proved wrong. My ex received child benefit for 10 weeks after child left his care and ultimately I did not have to pay Child Support becasue legislation DID NOT dictate. I know this is a different scenario, but you need to get your evidence together and present it to the appeals team. Am sure the child will assist if she has been put out the house as I am sure she would benefit from your direct contribution to her care. Re the childbenenfit....her mother does not need to advise them that childis not living with her until she has been away for 56 days so she is not committing a fraud until after this time0

Totally irrelevent but, when i turned 16 (7mth preggers), i claimed benefits in my in own right, my mum flipped her lid!!!!!!!!!!!! she was raving!! So much so i moved out. All cos CB stopped (and family allowance as it was then). My dad and i had a great releationship then and he was relieved that CSA would end (80pw). he had a 2 yr old himself to support so made a huge difference. He gave me 20 a week, instead of my mum. She went even madder at this!!!! FF 13 yrs and my mum is on her !!! skint. I nursed my dad through an early stroke (48) and i have my younger sibling most holidays.
Im getting at things seem !!!! at the time, but they have an impact.
Yr SD mum has £££££ signs in her eyes without a thought to what her DD may think. I remember my mum going nuts and i wont forget. My dad was greatfull for me sorting my mums benefits out, as it helped him. Now i'd like to think im the kinda person who sees things from loads of angles. and the impact it has on each.
Maybe a chat with SD is needed. Explain the money is intended for HER upbringing. May make her more willing to help sort this awful mess out xxxx
Hope you sort it. must be sending you daft!!! reading stuff on here has made me never to want a relationship with someone with a kiddy!!!
PS what does QS mean? xxxxxxxxThe feeling i got when i confirmed my place studying criminology at Exeter Uni was brilliant!!!!!
The pride my children told me they had in me was even better!!!!! # setting positive example to children is OUTSTANDING!!!! !:grouphug::grouphug::smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea0 -
Firstly, it's I have written, not I have wrote, secondly It infuriates me that you are posting about wanting support to end, surely that is your husbands place as the child's father not yours. You just can't wait to stop paying can you.
What are your plans to support your husbands child after csa stops?Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0
