My installer told me today my FiT payments would go up on April 1st....surely this isn`t right is it?
I thougt it was only going up for installations completed before Jan 2014....the guy told me today it was going up for all installations completed before the end of this tax year.
Who`s right!!!?? :j3.975 kWp System, South facing, 21 degree pitch, 15 x Canadian Solar Elps, Samil Inverter, location NE Scotland (Fraserburgh) Bring on the Sun :beer:0 -

Well your installer is no April fool. Your rate will indeed increase on 1st April by whatever the RPI was for the previous December which if I remember correctly is 2.7% taking you to 15.3p for generation and 4.62p for your export.2 kWp SEbE , 2kWp SSW & 2.5kWp NWbW.....in sunny North Derbyshire17.7kWh Givenergy battery added(for the power hungry kids)0 -

Gonna have to disagree with tunnel, my understanding is that the export rate will go up, but that the FiT now only goes up in the year following the install, so you won't get an uplift till 2015.
I've posted something, somewhere, but lost track. Will try to find and update.

Here you go shavy, I knew it was in there somewhere, but too many posts to keep track of (or I'm getting old?):Martyn1981 wrote: »Thought I should do some homework and put some meat on the bones.
Here's the PV FiT table going up to the end of Mch 2014 and confirming the 14.9p rate:

and here's a DECC factsheet on inflationary uplifts:

Please note:-- installations with eligibility date between 1 April-31 December receive RPI adjustment from 1 April of the next FITs year
- installations with eligibility date between 1 January – 31 March receive RPI adjustment from 1 April in the following FITs year
Mart.
PS I reckon your price of £6,150 looks very good, especially given the extras. That must work out under £6k for the PV. So I'll carry on suggesting to folk (who ask) that a tough but doable target is £6k. Cheers. M.Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. @ Shavy
I've just had mine installed this week. I paid £6675, with the only thing thrown in being an Owl Intuition monitor.
My neighbours had theirs installed 6 weeks before mine. They were told they could only get max 3kw system (identical property to mine). They paid £7800, with no extras whatsoever. I think your price sounds very good4kw (16X250w Sharp). Samil Solar River 3680 TL inverter.
E.mids/SSE. 35 degree roof pitch, no shading.0 -
Mine was 6.5K, panels on two sides - one side being 3 stories high - so more scaffolding than a usual single-roof, two storey job. A GEO Solo thrown in too.
I thought that price was very competitive.4kWp system (Feb 2014) : 1.5 SW, 2.5 NE (16x Bisol BMO/250, Aurora Power-One UNO PVI-3.6 Inverter : pvoutput.org/list.jsp?id=299350 -

Appreciate that pal. And thanks for easing my curiousity regarding price guys!3.975 kWp System, South facing, 21 degree pitch, 15 x Canadian Solar Elps, Samil Inverter, location NE Scotland (Fraserburgh) Bring on the Sun :beer:0 -
After a thick mist to start the morning off, things brightened and we got a nice 2.54 Os. So week 2 closed with us running at a projected 105% for Mch.
If generation is close to targets, then should hit 10MWh by late May.:j
