My ESE 2kWp system only managed 4.3kWh today and i'm east of Chesterfield and had similar sort of weather. Double that, add a bit for the SSE and i think you did fine, nothing to worry about

    Brilliant, thanks for that:)

Thank you for the reply Kevin.

    That's good to know.

I was previously keeping a check on my elec consumption with an NPower monitor. The readings seem to have increased since pv instal. Is this because it is no longer able to tell between generated and imported, I.e double counting ?
I've switched off now and am going by figures on my Owl monitor, although I think this is not 100% accurate :o

    Hi DoDo,

Get yourself a Wattson with the free download of Holmes; this will tell you all you need to know. Current Generation, Current usage, Current usage from the grid & Lots more.

    Hi shavy,

Is your system similar to mine? I didn't seem to generate anything over 1.8kwh at any one point in time. Is this right? How will I know if both my strings of panels are working?

Very similar! I`v got a 3.975 kWp system comprising of 15 x 265 Watt Canadian Panels and the same inverter as yourself.
My roof is about 35 degree pitch I think and is directly South facing. I live NE Scotland though, 40 miles north of Aberdeen....long way from you guys!
Oh and the most I`v seen my system produce at one time is about 2.7 kW`s! Guessing I should see better than this once the Sun creeps higher in the sky?
I`m new to this game but reckon ur generation looks perfectly normal.

Now that the floods have subsided and the drought has begun, the roof is perking up nicely. Rufus (that's the system's name) has generated a Hawaii on six of the last eight days, and is likely to do another today. Incidentally, does anyone know how to clear a Sunny Beam when the memory is full? (Wish I had a Wattson!)

    6 hawaii's in 8 days. Wow, over 16kWh a day. Well done:beer:
Re-Sunny Beam, can you not store the data on a PC?

    In the handbook
    http://files.sma.de/dl/9034/BeamBT-eng-BUS110712.pdf
It says the data will be overwritten when the memory is full:D

Do what I did....flog the S/B and buy a Wattson;)

6.6 kWh today. Not bad, considering the fog didn't lift until 1:30.

Scaffolding was taken down today and certs came through, so was able to email FiT application :)

Another record breaking day for me up here in Scotland! That`s three days running I`ve recorded my best ever `haul`.
    18.2 kWh today, 4.6 O`s! So close to the 5 :D

Got me thinking....what`s the most O`s anyones got in a day? Is this the most I should except in any one day, even when summer comes around?

    Thanks

I think you could see 7, given the right conditions. I just scraped a 6 last summer, but my system is all brawn no brains. I think others with south panels got well into the 7's.

    Mart.
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.
