    :(
This used to be such a friendly thread, with light hearted yet informative banter.
I haven't been around much for a while but it all seems to have got terribly argumentative lately.

Just take it with a pinch of salt.....I do

    Another 20+kWh day here today

    SSW 8.17kWh(4 O's)
    ESE 6.5kWh(3.25 O's)
    WNW......wait for it.......5.5kWh(2.2 O's)

    Combined 9.45 O's smiley-laughing024.gif

And for the non mathematically inclined 3.1 O's
    2 kWp SEbE , 2kWp SSW & 2.5kWp NWbW.....in sunny North Derbyshire17.7kWh Givenergy battery added(for the power hungry kids)

What size install do you have?, monitor type? which direction does your install face? You can post figures but it would help others for comparison if they knew what they were comparing against.

    Hi,

This is the first time that I have used a forum, so not even sure if I'm posting things in the correct way...

My system is a 4kw, 16 X 250w sharp panels, samil solar river 3680th inverter.

My home is in post code region 11, a 140 degree orientation (SSE I believe). Roof pitch is 35 degrees.
    :)
4kw (16X250w Sharp). Samil Solar River 3680 TL inverter.
E.mids/SSE. 35 degree roof pitch, no shading.

    Dodo,

Just take a look on your generation meter, that should give you an idea how you've done for your first day smiley-happy020.gif

What are you using to get those stat graphs, (monitor/software) Oscargrouch?

Just put your system information in your signature section; forget your post code, just put in your region.:)

The best that is available; in my opinion...

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

    Hi

If you're looking at simple metrics & comparisons have a look at using the PVOUTPUT site (http://pvoutput.org/). You can enter the generation figures manually or use one of a number of automated update methods (/equipment) and even if you don't want to become obsessed with supplying data you can just use it as a source of data to compare to your own manual figures in a spread-sheet. There are tens of thousands of systems feeding information into the site, so you're likely to find a few which are pretty local and have similar orientation, sizes & pitches for comparison. The site used to be mentioned quite a lot on this site and I'm sure that at least a few members are still using it.

Strangely enough, considering recent discussions, all of those various size systems are performance-comparison-analysed by simply using kWh/kWp (otherwise referred to as Os by some on these boards, and importantly, only these boards) .... just think of the added complexity of multi-currency and international FiT schemes into the value mix.

Wow, there are some !!!!!! systems on that site! Don't get me wrong, I'm obviously a big fan of PV, but even I wouldn't want to live next door to this guy! - click on "9 photos" link, in the text below the graph. I think there is a house in there somewhere!

Graphs and figures are my current fascination, and set up an account on pvoutput the day I got mine installed a couple of weeks ago :D
Also adding solar and electricity readings into an Excel spreadsheet I've created and adding readings each day for at least a whole year to get an idea of what's going on :D
