Think the OptiPlug may do what you want if you heat your Hot-Tub during generation periods (depending on consumption when it is heating water). ;)eusa_think.gif

I think this might do the trick. need to get hot tub manual out to see max consumption, to make sure it's not more than 3kw. I don't think it is, my monitor appears to randomly go up by 1kw a few time throughout the day, which I am assuming is the heating element on hot tub.

I've had a look at a few sites and it seems this OptiPlug retails for around £50. I think this cost could be justified in the long run (?).:)

    13.2kwh for us yesterday.

Today looks much more promising, generated nearly 6kwh already, and it's only 9:30 :j

You do realise that you'll also require a Wattson for that optiplug. It don't work by magic unfortunately smiley-shocked013.gif That's not quite the 50 quid you were hoping for.....

Errrr....nope, didn't realise that. I have no idea about the tech available, hence the question;)

I think I'll stick to manually turning temp up and down when I'm generating a healthy surplus. I'm in and out most days so should not be too tiresome. I'll see how that goes.
