Ah, my last day of being 30 is nearly over. Seems like only yesterday that I was panicking over turning 30. Time goes by so quickly.
I've been thinking about what I would like to achieve in my 32nd year.
The major thing I want to do (and have been wanting to do for ages now) is get my teeth sorted out. They aren't terrible, but aren't great either and I think I would have a lot more confidence if they were better than they are. So first step with that is to find a good dentist (private as it will be mainly cosmetic work), save up around £100 for the initial check-up and consultation and see what they can do for me and how much it will cost. I can then get around to saving for it bit by bit. Might have to start a 'Teeth Fund' off to pay for that.
I would also like to pay my mum back her £1,000 this year and also clear other stuff like her credit card (which she used to pay for some furniture for me) and some other niggly little things.
Another goal is to get my weight up to 9 stone. I spoke to my dietitian yesterday and she agreed that 9 stone would be a good weight to aim for and maintain as it would give me some leeway weight-wise if I were to fall ill and lose a stone or 2. I weigh around 8st 5lbs at the moment, so 9lbs to go. I find it very hard to put on weight though. I've asked for a chocolate birthday cake tomorrow to help me out.
I would also like to get my lung function up. I currently have a lung function of FEV1 37% (basically meaning that my lung function is 37% of what is predicted for someone of my age, sex, height, weight etc). I would like to get it up to 50% if possible.
I think those are my main goals for my 32nd year. I would like to look back in a year's time and see many of those completed, or at least had real progress made on them.

Eek - 31 years old now - better grow up I suppose
.
OH is away at the moment so I'm on my lonesome. Got a couple of cards and boxes of chocolates. OH took me out shopping the other weekend for some clothes, so I've already had his present. Being taken out for tea tonight (have to wait for my niece to finish school).
Just doing all my treatments before I do a bit of work.
Have a good day everyone - it's awful weather here at the moment.

Happy Birthday Emz! :bdaycake:_party__party__party_
With regards your teeth, is it veneer type stuff that you're looking for? I had my front four veneered about 4 years ago as they were damaged from a horse riding accident years before. The place I went to did a free consultation and did a photo construction of what the new ones would look like. Might be an idea for you as then no need to save to get started and the picture of what they will look like would be something to work towards
Defnitely think it's worth it, my confidence soared after getting them doneDebt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -

Thank you.
I'm not sure with the teeth thing. I wanted to find out what they could do to improve them. I think some will need straightening too. I know it would cost a lot of money, but I think it would be worth it in the end.
I'll have a look around and see if I can get a free consultation though.
