I got one of these printers the last time round and a cheapo USB from ebay and it's been excellent. Well worth grabbing if like me you need a cheap printer for things like recipes, driving directions, Christmas address labels and other things that aren't practical to look at on screen!

Don't fall for their cheap printer - the cartridges are ridiculous prices, and there are no decent compatibles. Its a con!

i agree dont buy a printer if the cartridge prices are sky high. my printer is an old canon bubblejet 4000, lots of these and similar models were sold in the past using same type of cartridges and you can get them now dirt cheap, eg b&w about £1 and colour about £1.80. see https://www.svp.co.uk
thanks to everyone who has thanked me!

I have one of these printers and the print quality is poor.
Not good enough for any important documentation.

So all of you guys that have this printer - is it any good?
Colour for photos, black and white for letters etc?

    Thanks all!

    Vijay
No reliance should be placed on the above.
  • I have this printer - very good - cartridges available from IJTdirect - simply click on dell and printer 720/920 the cartridges say lexmark but are obviously modified for the dell and work much better than the trial cartridges.

The printer is fine if, like me, you only occasionally print stuff. If you do a lot of printing, you'd be better off with a Canon or Epson, which will cost you more for the printer, but the running costs will be less.

The print quality is very good (if you don't think so, then you haven't set it up correctly - it's more than good enough for most people's needs.)

reasonably priced compatible carts I guess

I bought the printer at 9.99 basically as a throw away

there are pages out there that describe the process of refilling the Dell trial carts too, if you can be bothered

basically, cheaper printing on this thing is available
