Just ordered one. Last time this was on, I got one for the cartridges. May well just do the same this time.[size=-2] If this post was unhelpful, please tell me.

"I do think its a shame that some people get greedy by ordering so many just to sell on at a profit. It spoils it for others. I hope you are telling the tax man on your extra income? Tax evasion is a criminal offence."
Poppy, Poppy, Poppy,
Don't take life too seriously!
When ordering the printer and I found the request form advised purchase of further inks, I checked their prices & considered it really the most prudent course of action to simply order more printers, keep the carts & pass machines on. Even with intro sized carts(which I wasn't aware of at that time) 1 b/w & 1 colour for a tenner rather than £42 or so seemed the best deal! My partner then pointed out that other members of our familly might like to take advantage of the offer & she ordered another 5 (total 10!). The profit element will be about a pint or so per unit! How do you notify the revenue of this & would it be income tax or capital gains?
I assure you greed did not enter into the deal but I felt it prudent to act quickly, not wishing to spoil anything for anyone, before the offer ran out.
However I would lay money on a lot of these printers appearing on Ebay!!!!(Not mine I hasten to add!)
Best wishes, TonyB.
Darned good service so far as in both orders a delivery arranging phone call received within 24hrs.0 -

i alreadfy have a dell printer and find their replacement cartridges to be expensive, I found this site: https://www.ijtdirect.co.uk and found my printers cartridges for less.
this models cartridges are available from them too and cost just £11.99 black and £13.99 for colour as aposed to Dells 44.63 for the two!! a saving of £18.65
now all i need to do is convince myself its worth buying another just because its cheap!!0 -

Not quite correct, as those prices only apply if you buy in larger quantities of 8 or more at a time. For 1-3 cartridges at a time (probably the range that most home users would buy in) the compatible black is £13.99 & compatible colour is £15.99. However, you are right in that there are definite savings to be had here - even their original Dell cartridges are cheaper than the ones on the Dell site.0 -

It would be income tax. You'll find all the info on how to declare this to the inland revenue at https://www.inlandrevenue.gov.uk0 -
There are hundreds of these printers on EBay, listed by the usual sad people who are desperately trying to make a couple of quid on them.
They're going from anywhere between around £6 to £20.
By the time you take into account the messing around in the post office, the packaging, the time spent listing the auction, messing around with payments, etc. they're making silly losses on them.
I feel sorry for these people, they really are quite sad.0 -

I've bought things from eBay, but I always try to check the price the item's being sold for against other prices on the net - if I'll be saving less than 10% then the non-auction trader will get my order because of the greater chance of warranties being upheld, goods arriving in good condition etc.
I'm glad to see most of the ones there that have bids placed against them are the ones with a similar price to what we'll have paid when ordering through Dell. At least we have the comfort of knowing that people who bought in bulk specifically to make huge profits may not actually get to make as much as they thought on them (or may not sell them at all), & will incur auction fees into the bargain.0 -
Has anyone noticed that there are some carts for these printers for sale on ebay...wonder if they are the ones from these printers....mmmmm..naughty!0

it got £11 profit BEFORE fees (and maybe Paypal fees aswell)... After using the £8.50 for the postal service you pay yourself LESS THAN £11 to do the packaging and deliver an item...
too me this is small time... people need to be more creative than follow the crowdYou'll Never Be Rich Working for Someone Else0
