There are hundreds of these printers on EBay, listed by the usual sad people who are desperately trying to make a couple of quid on them.

So people who try to make a few quid by selling on Ebay are sad, while people who try to save a few quid using MSE are smart clever individuals eh??

Does anyone know how long (in terms of average number of pages) does the trial colour and trial B&W cartridges last for ?

    Thanks in advance

We like to keep our account trading on ebay waiting for the next big thing...
just like last time the £10 offer was on - for a month or so theres too many on sale - after that theres some ok profits
we bought 20 last time - made an average of £10 each on them after sellers fees - paypal fees postage etc...
thats £200 - for say 10 hours wouk - not great but ok - worst thing is storing the damn things!
    got 20 again this time.
also sold 5 or so through tesco notice board - local people - who come and collect with cash.

All customers so far seem to be happy! - some repeat customers!

I was speaking to another seller on ebay selling these things and they bought 100 last time.

Exactly, there are so many ebayers selling the same thing.

I remember when the 35th Anniversary Superstar Series came out. You can make £75 profit on each one.

It doesn't matter if you sell on Ebay, just don't BRAG about it...

By the way - you probably already know this - There is a BIG difference between money MAKING and money SAVING - saving is A LOT easier.
As in "I saved £xxx on a 42" plasma screen etc etc"
Well you did SPEND a lot though didnt you to save your £xxx!

Sucessful EBAY traders are a very hardworking, respectable, honest people making a little extra income, with no risk, from buying and selling. Some of them even pay income tax!!! No need to belittle their activities!

g002AHE. Making a profit just because a major corporation like Dell have a regular clear out of excess stuff for marketing reasons? That's so sad - I hope you declared it to the Revenue!

I'm not sure on this deal.
IMO, surely buying a better more expensive printer that has cheaper cartridges is a better money saving option?

Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.

Can you please keep your comments relevant to the actual printer deal only. If you want to have a discussion about selling these or other items on eBay, then please start a thread in the eBay forum. Grabbit isn't the place to discuss this.

    Thanks
