why on earth are you all wasting your hard earned £10 on these piles of rubbish? surely its easier to buy a cheap epson or canon then buy carts for it?
how much time are you guys gonna waste "refilling" them, how much mess etc????
much simpler in the long run imo!!

Check they are compatible with your OS. I bought 2 last time one for me and one for my nephew. He loves his (he has XP) but I hadn't checked and it wouldn't work with Windows ME for me.

I advertised it in work to sell for £20 as I thought someone would knock me down but I had tons of calls all wanting. So I didn't lose any money but I would have rather had the printer.

PS nephew says he gets his cartridges refilled no prob.

The site states 'Compatible only with Microsoft Windows XP or 2000' does this mean that my Windows ME will not be compatible?

Yes really. Last time it was available some kind MS gave me a link to down load drivers for a Lexmark as its basically the same printer. Tried it but it was a load of hassle and wouldn't work properly. Therefore I sold it.

Alternatively you could upgrade to WindowXP

any 1 had a order confirmation so far got only the 1st e-mail still waiting for confirmation
  • Not sure why people are after a cheap printer cable to go with this as last time I ordered this printer from dell, I got a good length cable with it!

Why not wait and see if they are still sending out the cables with it?

I purchased on of these last fall when they had the same deal. The printer is ok, not nearly the quality I was hoping for. Also, I have found it difficult to refill the trial sized cartridges, possibly the larger cartridges are best for this method. I have given up on the printer, and invested in something that will last longer, and hopefully not end up in a landfill too soon.
