Morning all,
Picked up another small job late last night, so will do that shortly. Slept a bit better last night and feeling a bit more positive this morning. Have a long list of things to do today, including some career development stuff (but also cooking chicken for the cats, popping to mum's etc.)
MS things:
* Sold a book on the bay - profit entirely from the postage cost (converting RM survey stamps into cash), but it's out of the house and will be used (was one of the job lot of Haynes manuals I collected from a Freegler - we did keep some).
* Clicks and spins - won £2.20 on HW, so nearly at £5 cash out again
* Despite bleurghness yesterday, I resisted takeaway or any other impulse buys and we had 'free' dessert too - Olio almond milk in the custard and Olio bananas (I had about 15 left + the ones I'd chosen to keep - down to 7 left + ones I'd chosen to keep. Have discovered that despite appearances to the contrary, if they are quite green, the bruising on the outside doesn't transfer through the skin quite as much as you might think.)
* Dinner tonight is sausage and mash - free meat sausages, free potatoes with free spring onions, and free green beans! (So my veggie sausages are the expensive bit!)
Gratitudes:
* Sunshine
* Just discovered more prospects to approach
* Mum isn't coming to collect her Portuguese custard tarts... and I haven't got time to take them down to her today... oh well! we'll just have to eat them!
* bruises from weighted hoop are fading, so I can keep on with that
* yoga last night really helped my mind
Have a good day all!

Have submitted my details to several more agencies, so will see what comes of that.
When posting the ebay parcel I collected two large sweet potatoes from someone on Olio, so will enjoy using those up over the next few days (they are nice and fresh - unused food tech class ingredients).
Have checked car insurance renewal and it looks to be the best option, so I'm happy to go with that. There'll be leftover to skim off the car insurance pot, so will split that between car maintenance fund (which also will contribute to new car) and anniversary pots but not until payment is made, which is next month.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Hmm… house has legs… need to see it in daylight though. Problem being that lots of people are viewing tomorrow and we can’t do tomorrow… and it’s on at our max. We’ll have to see. Had a nice feel to it and ticked most boxes (jury still a bit out on garden size, hence need to see in daylight.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Morning all,
Spent the day in Nottinghamshire yesterday as BIL had asked DH for some help with diy. I decided to go as we hadn’t seen them over Christmas, including my other niece and nephew. Nephew (9 months) was gorgeous, easy going charmer. The less said about niece’s behaviour, the better, but suffice to say I don’t expect to be screamed at by a 4.5 yo for not doing what she’s demanded.
DH treated us to American diner breakfast on the way (Not had one of those since the beginning of the pandemic) and BIL fed us pizza for lunch, so we didn’t need anything when we got in (just as well given it was gone 7). It was very foggy driving up and the frost on the field was very pretty.Have done yoga this morning and going to go for a walk shortly. Need to make some cards for birthdays coming up this afternoon. We were going to have Ottolenghi’s five a day toad in the hole for dinner but we’ve just used most of the milk for breakfast, so I think it’ll be a curry - sweet potato, chickpea and chard (from the garden).Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Still sounding really good, madvix - though being screamed at by a 4.5 year old isn't great, no.
And American diner breakfasts .... 💙 mmmmm!2023: the year I get to buy a car4 -
Thanks Jess, but I don’t think it actually did anything but inconvenience me so I won’t claim. And sadly they’ve not automatically decided to pay me!Just back from our walk so steps done for the day. Might think about a snack for lunch - didn’t have breakfast till late so don’t need much. Then I’ll get the card bits out.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Shame - never mind. I would also not want to be screamed at by a 4.5 year old. DS wouldn't dare do that and if he did he would be straight on the naughty step to calm down and I would expect an apology.
