I wonder if niece is feeling usurped by new brother and the insecurity is impacting on her behaviour? I agree it is horrible but just wondering aloud as we have had similar behaviour with an extended family big sister - wondering how the parents responded to this... There's certainly some of that going on SL, but general lack of parenting and discipline is the main cause - which has been long foreseen. There were several occasions where I would have been saying 'you need to do this (help tidy up) or we're not going to do this....' or giving a time out and neither of these were used.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Evening all,
I only had a tiny bit of work this morning, so once that was out of the way, I headed out with a long list of jobs, which I managed to complete, as well as having lunch with mum and calling in to see dad and partner. Spent my credit note and some more of my M&S gift card on some cheese, mustard and yoghurt. Still have £2.73 to spend in M&S - will hold onto that for now.
On return though, I've got a project from a client for tomorrow (it's been extra quiet from the other side of the Pond as today is MLK day and so some of them are off), promise of a file from another client and I've picked up 60 euros of work from the platform, which I'm doing now (complete with hungry cat wandering back and forth across the computer... tail is on keyboard as I type). So, in all, it's not been too bad a day workwise.
MS things:
* Clicks done - and £5 withdrawn from HW - will transfer to anniversary savings pot
* Tiny ebay sale posted (profit to transfer to savings)
* Only money spent was credit with M&S
* Booked a second viewing for Friday's house for Thursday afternoon (and it seems that the other couple who are very interested haven't actually got their house on the market yet!)
Gratitudes:
* Lunch with Mum
* Catch up (and jam doughnut) with Dad and partner
* Beautiful, beautiful moonrise as I was driving home - gorgeous colours in the sky and a full moon (or almost?)
Have a good evening all!

Tis indeed full moon today I believe 😊 glad you picked up some work, sounding positive. Also glad you had a jam doughnut! 😂
Exciting news about the house viewing! Are you properly excited, or are there concerns? Sorry, I can't remember what you said on Friday 🙄😊7 -
Haha, no need to apologise Cheery, we all read a lot on here and have real lives too. It has potential but we’d like to see the garden in daylight. The major concern is how much we’d be paying compared to our current home - but I guess that’s how it goes.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

It is, isn't it - upgrading inevitably costs more. But if some upgrades are things you don't want, it's a real cost/benefit thing. Hope you find your way through, and have a good look2023: the year I get to buy a car6

Morning all,
Thanks Karma - wise words as always.
Yesterday was a bit of a wash out. Slept appallingly, then had Drs appointment (by phone) and she's sending me for a blood test. Made me feel even more miserable than I did due to lack of sleep. Spent a lot of the day on the sofa - still very little work and what there was I kept putting off. To add insult to injury, the card blanks I'd ordered from Ebay arrived via Amazon courier in an Amazon box - there's a reason I didn't order from Amazon in the first place! 😡 Not only that, but they weren't the right ones anyway, they were cream, not white! Apparently there aren't any white left, so I'm going to have to return them (at my inconvenience) and will go to Hobbycraft today and buy some, thereby failing at the first hurdle with the challenge. I've run out of time to get them online again as I need to make a birthday card for my Mum for tomorrow! Aaargh.
Yesterday evening was better, with yoga and Ottolenghi's five-a-day toad in the hole. I even made it to my (Zoom) evening class.
I still didn't sleep last night, although feeling better today. Have collected Olio stuff (small collection today, most of it has gone already), done a quick platform job (client half the world away with a deadline that didn't take into account the time difference 🙄) and working on a piece for another client. Am expecting another file later today from a platform client too.
The food situation is still OK, but I have ordered a veg box for tomorrow - we're getting low on veg and some foreknowledge of what we're getting was becoming important! I did opt for a small one, so we'll need to supplement with Olio still. Also added a few bits of veggie stuff to in-laws supermarket delivery which is coming today and DH will pick up tomorrow. They were on offer because of veganuary and I don't think we'll get an order this month, so it made sense to buy them while on offer. Will tot up food spend for this month later and update.
MS things:
* transferred £6.79 (ebay and HW money) to savings
* Clicks done - nearly to payout with MS rewards again - will probably get Uber credit towards our holiday (that's our plan for S&S earnings too)
* Dinner used up various sad looking bits and included free sweet potato, carrots and tomatoes
Gratitudes:
* Blue skies here
* DH put my car on trickle charge over and night and unplugged it ready for me this morning - it started beautifully
* Work
* Nice and communicative Olioers
Have a good day all!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I’m glad you are feeling a bit better. The yoga sounds good and now I’m craving a veggie toad in the hole..2025 decluttering: 3,958🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅
