Aaaw, thanks ladies! I'm not always so positive in real life, but it is amazing what a good night's sleep does. And work... I'm much cheerier and more positive when I have work to do.
No luck in the charity shops within walking distance for card blanks, so I'll have to try town another day.
Have made some naans this afternoon, using some yoghurt that seemed fine but logic says should have been past its best (hence cooking it seemed sensible). Also used yeast BBE 9/2020, but amazingly it seemed to work.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Keep an eye out for just sheets of card in charity shops - I come across those more often than card blanks and they can just be cut and folded of course. Not quite as neat (depending on your cutting skills!), but I also picked up one of those paper slicer things that we used to have at school (but much snaller) and that makes it unnoticeable.5 -
Thanks Cheery. I think we have a few sheets of white card, so that'll do for my mum's impending birthday (and my uncle's - twins!). Fortunately my mum also has a paper slicer I can borrow - it sounds very similar to yours.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Morning all,
Not so positive today - a broken night's sleep, a grumpy DH and a flat tyre when I'm meant to be collecting from Tesco.... hmm... DH has the tyre pump in his car, which is he currently driving (late) to MK. I don't know whether I have a puncture or I've just neglected it and then it's rapidly deflated for the last bit. It was OK when I went to Sainsbury's the other night. Fortunately we are a three car household and the mini is in working order. Am waiting for roads to be quieter and light to improve before taking him out though. Have seen to the cats, cleared the kitchen and am currently enjoying a cup of tea whilst finishing up a couple of niggly bits of work and doing my clicks etc.
There was stuff listed on Olio last night, but it wasn't the usual lady, so I left it. This one likes you to go the same night (which is fair enough), but I was tired/it was dark/I couldn't be bothered. Was hoping she might have had the carrots left this morning, but no such luck. Will see what my collection brings.... I hope it's not huge given the car I'm using! 🤣
MS things:
* Just nabbed a PA survey
* Clicks done (no HW win today)
* Going to collect free food
* DH didn't want dinner last night, so I had parsnip daal (from freezer) and a naan
Gratitudes:
* We have a spare car (is this really something to be grateful for, I wonder? But it's helping me out this morning.)
* There was no homework set for evening class which returns tonight!
* Tea!
Have a good day all!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Nightmare! Good old Mum! - DH's car had a slow deflation thing - not a puncture - the garage said he had damaged the seal when he kerbed the edge of the alloy and re-ground it to fix it. I don't like him driving mine but occasionally he has to... and now my car periodically alerts me that my tyre pressures have dropped. Not sure if that could be the same thing or just weather related changes in pressure (it's a thing, apparently!). I do drive mine into fields for beekeeping purposes so it could be blackthorn or hawthorn I guessSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £9586.01 out of £6000 after August (158.45%)

Interesting SL. I'm really bad at checking my tyre pressures, especially as I hardly drive my car, so it's hard to know if it's just got so low and then it's been easier for it to leak out or if there's a slow puncture (or fast one). Car is too old to have any sensors on it though. My alloys are a mess but I don't think I've done anything recently that would cause a sudden deflation.
Olio was interesting - bananas and crisps today, no bread or pastries! Chaos too as everyone wants crisps!

That’s funny as I would happily take bananas and would leave the crisps.
