Afternoon all,
Busy with a bit of work this morning which has been nice. Off to the vacc centre this afternoon for a shift. Hoping to get out for a walk in between.
MS things:
* A couple of PA surveys in the breaks
* Clicks done
* Actual work
* I need to reactivate my airtime rewards account as it's been so long they've deactivated it (but unlike the government, they tell you how to reactivate it and you'll get your balance reinstated)
* Need to buy a couple of bits but will go to Sainsbury's and use Nectar points (have just remembered that you have to do this in increments - will have to do the maths in the shop!)
Gratitudes:
* Lovely delivery driver who delivered our solar panel earlier - very helpful and friendly
* Solar panel! (We've just gone for one, which will cover our base usage during the day and we can take with us when we move - it's garage roof mounted) - and because they were out of stock when we ordered, we got a slightly higher powered one for free - 315w instead of 250w
* Cuddles with furry purries

Madvix! Congratulations on the solar panel! Buying it off your own bat without governmental schemes is a brilliant thing to do! Can I ask you to linkie to whichever one you've bought? Or is that too revealing of your location?
Nectar points ... can they be used for online orders, do you happen to know, madvix? I should find out myself, I know

The website for the solar was pluginsolar.co.uk (Sorry on my phone, so can’t do links). Thanks Karma, I’m glad you approve! It’s more spending but hopefully will save us over the long run and at least we can take it with us.
No idea about Nectar points but imagine you can use them online.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Absolutely I approve
with such a long life to it, its much better to be able to take it with you, and have full control over it. I've just popped over to the Nectar website, and they rattle on about hundreds of places you can use it, but only publicise half a dozen or so. So I'll stick with Sainsbo! I only have £7.31, anyway, ha.

Morning all,
Two small bits of work done and the large PA survey that has been running for the past few days - I'm all paffled out now!
Off to visit friend shortly, but hoping either it stays dry (looking unlikely) or she has a gazebo! Hopefully collecting some Olio bits on the way to share. It may turn into a bit of a business meeting - I'm taking my bunting (she's my sewing consultant!) and she mentioned about needing to sell some of her stuff on Etsy (which she can never be bothered to do).
MS things:
* Clicks done
* PA survey done (netted about £9, I think)
* Dinner was mac and cheese, using stuff we had in (followed by more rhubarb crumble and ice cream)
* Sent £50 to savings - these need a bit of a boost since the cat insurance excess came from them (also thinknig that my small contributions to mortgage/DH's big ones = OP 10% reached, ergo, if I top up my savings too at the end of two years I might be able to pay another big chunk off as well - we need this mortgage gone!
Gratitudes:
* A good shift at vacc centre - seeing the same faces now, which is nice
* A catch up with a friend (clothing for all weathers will be taken!)
* DH had cooked dinner for when I returned from vacc centre
Have a good day all!

Morning all,
Another lovely day yesterday - had an appointment that was really uplifting and then met a friend for a walk with her 4 year old and 4 month old. We had a lovely time chatting and playing in the playground (that was me and the four year old mainly!). While we were there I also collected some grapes and baps from a nearby Olioer. I was a good girl too and sorted an early lunch and snack as my appointment was at 12.30 (and a half hour's drive away).
In the evening we had courgette and halloumi fritters for dinner (didn't bother with the sauce, just used some sweet chilli sauce from the fridge) - they were really nice and used up the glut of courgettes in the fridge, some frozen mint and a spring onion from the garden (planted last spring!). Would make again!
Workwise, things are pretty quiet - just small bits ticking over. I am about to renew my membership of a website that has garnered me a lot of work in the past. I'd let it lapse (to just being a registered user) because I didn't need more clients, but now I think it's time to see if I can up the ante a bit. Money for this will come from business savings (which earn nothing, but keep enough tucked away for this, website and replacement laptop - I TT each month into it!).
MS things:
* Clicks done
* Freezer inventory done and meal plan for the week made - we have a lot of food in, so no veg box this week and only a small top-up supermarket delivery next week (DH has added beer though, so still over the minimum spend - he can pay for that though!)
* YG survey
* Olio bits
* Being organised and not tempted by lovely bakery when out
* Got some free rubble from a Freegler to weigh down our solar panel box
* Cat sitting pre-visit tonight
Gratitudes:
* Appointment went really well
* Lovely time with my friend and her children yesterday
* A glimpse of normality returning - DH is visiting a supplier next week and will be away overnight
* The vaccinations are getting ever closer to DH's age group!

Oooh, I've just booked our holiday! A week on the Isle of Skye (have never been, but love the Highlands) in a camping pod with a sea view
(Not MSE, although definitely among the cheaper options available - and at least it has a small hob, so many just had a microwave!)

That's great! There's so much within the UK, you can absolutely find some wonderful holidays.2023: the year I get to buy a car6

Ooh lovely. We have stayed in one of the large houses with a couple of estate cottages that are the other side of Loch Alsh (on the left before Einan Donan Castle as you approach the bridge over to Skye (assumes you are driving). There are usually 12-16 of us. Anyway, the Coop in Kyle of Lochalsh is good if you want to pick up any food on the way, and Hector's take away used to be good for fish and chips (a while since we have been). We are off up to Lochinver to a self catering cottage in October for a week, sharing with three others it works out at £150 eachSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
