Yes, very cute shed!
Have you looked on Etsy for clothes? I have just splashed out £25 on a jacket from the 1980s - it needs new buttons and I will get it professionally cleaned as it has that perfumed wardrobe smell that I have detected in charity shops and not for me but it is classic. Slightly blouson with a slightly tighter waistband (around the hips, so it covers my bum, iyswim) and I happen to know would have been £400 new. Very happy to give it a new lifeSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far

Morning all,
Thanks for the comments on the shedI was really pleased with it and impressed with my work (much assistance was given by DH, but he left decisions to me and just guided me gently). The shiplap cladding was a revelation to me, but it works so well and made it so simple to do (and I got a bulk discount for some reason too, so it came to less than I expected). I love the colour too Busy Mee - it is what I painted our front fence with last summer and initially I thought it was a bit bright, but actually I just think it's really cheery now. The clematis next to the shed is deep purple, so when that comes out it's going to look stunning against it.
SL, I hadn't thought of Etsy, but tbh, I just need a few basic t-shirts - but I want fitted ones with a v-neck and apparently these are impossible to get. Obviously the designers think that everyone's put on too much lockdown weight to wear fitted and showing skin is a no-go! It may be I'll have to go to the supermarkets for a couple (very MSE, not so much Ethical Consumer). The jacket sounds like a great find though.
Still have plenty of work to be getting on with, which is good. Need to go to zero-waste shop later and today's the day for my tame Olio lady too, so I'll see what she has. Must do evening class homework before tonight's lesson too - oops!
Having done some research it seems like naughty ginger's cat's predilection to eat everything may be partially boredom related, and B&W's predilection to wee in the wrong place may be stress related (he's a very stressy creature, even though he has a very chilled life - it's a learned behaviour rather than illness-related). Solution to both of these seems to be more play and excitement, so have instigated twice daily play sessions, dug out some toys that had been tidied away and opened the front of litter tray for B&W cat (who likes to stand up when he pees, so an open litter tray, as it's had to be with naughty cone-head cat for the past week, is not very helpful). None of this is directly money saving, but if it means they a) don't eat things which both need replacing and removing from said cat and b) stop destroying our home with wayward wee, these will certainly save us a fortune *and* reduce everyone's stress! DH is going to look at a catio next week when he's off.

Morning all,
Thanks NG and Fortune
Beginning to feel a bit more on top of spending this week. Visited the zero-waste shop yesterday and only spent £26 (at least a month's worth, although I do need to return for d/w tablets), and didn't buy any treats (we have plenty in the house!). Have also booked an eye test as this is due and have checked up on the insurance papers for the vet claim. B&W kitty opted to use the litter tray with the open front for his wee, which feels like a huge breakthrough, so fingers crossed it continues. Scheduled playtime continues!
MS things:
* Bimbimbap for dinner last night and hm pizza tonight - continuing to keep on top of the veg situation
* Clicks done
* More PA surveys! (At £22 for the month, with another £3 to clear)
* Disciplined shopping
Gratitudes:
* The bluebell woods are at their most beautiful and the scent was heavenly yesterday when I took mum, sis and niece to see them
* Evening class went well - first time in ages I've enjoyed it/felt I was actually keeping up/contributing
* Work - it makes such a difference to my outlook (and the money's nice too!)
Need to do a bit of a fridge and freezer inventory (did the cupboards at the weekend), and aim to use a few bits up. Does anyone else try to do this and then in the using up discover that they actually like the recipes and buy more of what's just been used up (which was previously an infrequently used ingredient), thereby not really achieving much?!

Coconut oil, sesame seed oil, marmite ... even sainsbo vegetarian gravy granules, to my shame2023: the year I get to buy a car5

Oooh, I love sesame oil, it's not a rare purchase here - great for stir fries.
Do you break the mould on Marmite then?Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I'm not sure if I break the mould or not on marmite, I'm not sure what that means
I'm slightly freaked out by trying to get to grips with talktalk at the moment. Used to love marmite, then stopped because I went off salt, now I'm addicted to salt again, marmite is lurvely
