Yay, pesky cat is home
Enjoy the visit to JL2023: the year I get to buy a car3 -
Hope your bad boy is recovering now, I swear cats are more stressful than kids sometimes 😆MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁2

Thanks NG. He was pretty miserable for a couple of days but perked up as soon as he’d got the wire out of his system (it was a weight off his behind!). Check up today, but the cone will remain. Annoyingly I forgot about the funeral when I booked the appointment, so will miss most of it 🙄
Never did get to JL, Karma - it seems I’ve spent most of the week looking after naughty kitty and cleaning up after both of them (b&w cat was feeling left out so was sick yesterday morning!). Oh the joys!
Nothing MSE to report really - did have a fair amount of work yesterday though, which was nice. Saw my cousin, her little boy and her new garden yesterday afternoon though, which was lovely - apart from a chilly doorstep chat at Christmas I’ve not seen her in person in over a year.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Shame about JL. I have to say, I can't *imagine* what it was like to get/have/witness/clean up after a wire covered in cat poo 🤢 Respect!2023: the year I get to buy a car3

Actually Karma, it wasn’t anything special - just a normal cat poo with some wire in it! Having indoor cats, I’m used dealing with it anyway!
JL might happen this week, although I’m off out for the day on Friday and have a couple of other bits happening - that ‘life’ thing is returning! Looking forward to Friday as we’re off to Sussex to see the cherry blossom on my mum’s rented cherry tree (and the other s on the farm obviously).Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Morning all,
Last week was a busy one, albeit not with work. 🙄 Had a lovely day out on Friday visiting the cherry tree - we saw a young badger, in broad daylight, running around for at least 5 minutes! We couldn't believe it (and niece didn't appreciate how lucky she was of course, although she loves wildlife, so was very happy to see it). Took some photos/video, but badger is very small on them even though he was quite close. Sis had DSLR with her, so hoping she might have got some better ones. (Cherry tree looked healthy, was covered in blossom and I bought a birthday present for MIL there, before we headed to Rye for a late lunch and quick wander before heading home - *so* nice to do a normal day out!
I spent rather a lot of money last week... Debenhams near us is opening for closing down, so many bargains were to be had and I bought quite a few Christmas/birthday presents. Also bought a pondvac on Ebay second hand (which was also a bargain - £138 instead of £337 for a new one); it's something we've been considering for a while for the pond. My credit card bill is looking scary though - between vet's bill, Christmas shopping, getting phone fixed (on insurance, but still excess to pay), plant order, shed wood, pondvac, 2 new baby presents, Dad's birthday present and the normal spending. Some of this is budgeted for (and DH has already given me the money for presents and pondvac) and the insurance claim is in for the vets (£99 excess though), but really need to cut back on spending (but there still seems to be a list of things to buy!). Fortunately, I think this is just a brief phase of having to replace items/deciding to get things we've been considering for a while/buying presents while the opportunity is there, but I'd like it to end now please!
Speaking of the shed, Cheery, you asked for a pic, so here it is:
MS things:
* Don't think I spent anything yesterday? (Does that count?)
* Clicks
* Saved lots buying pondvac second hand on ebay
* Haven't managed to find any clothes I like, so haven't bought any, even though I desperately need some new ones!
* This week there's plenty of work
Gratitudes:
* Lovely visit with two new babies this week, and great catch up with friend
* Sunshine! It's been glorious
* Great days out - Friday and Saturday (collecting pondvac from Notts, brief visit to see new nephew and farm shop lunch)
Have a good day all!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

That is a very cute shed. We painted our garden furniture in that colour last year.4
