Need to do a bit of a fridge and freezer inventory (did the cupboards at the weekend), and aim to use a few bits up. Does anyone else try to do this and then in the using up discover that they actually like the recipes and buy more of what's just been used up (which was previously an infrequently used ingredient), thereby not really achieving much?!I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £205 -

I'm slightly freaked out by trying to get to grips with talktalk at the moment. Used to love marmite, then stopped because I went off salt, now I'm addicted to salt again, marmite is lurvely

Marmite's definitely a love or hate thing in my family too - just my brother and me loved it, everyone else hated it2023: the year I get to buy a car5

Morning all,
Finishing up a piece of work this morning and then meeting a couple of friends for a walk and a cuppa. Am determined to not purchase food to go with the cuppa - I'll take something with me instead and be strong! I really need this to be a low spend few weeks (at least on the small things).
MS things:
* PA surveys have cleared to £26 now
* Referred my sister to Riverford - we both get £15 (new scheme, they don't normally do referrals). If anyone else would like to use my link it's www.riverford.co.uk/refer/JovsC8ashYainyZdWu_XwQ - I really think there's no one better for ethical, organic, home-delivered food with excellent customer service and value for money (which isn't the same as cheap, I'll grant you!)
* Clicks done (did I mention I've quite Swagbucks? It feels great! So clicks now are just the Viewsbank poll and MS rewards - they're easy, I'll keep going with them).
* Comps entered
* Picked up a TGTG bag from local coffee shop last night - in the end, not great for us, as DH is lunching out with work today and the main bit was a chicken and bacon ciabatta - however, BIL's fiancee will enjoy it for her lunch!
* Am hopefully collecting a couple of Olio bits later
Gratitudes:
* It's warmer than yesterday - we put the heating on yesterday evening (for which I'm very grateful, especially as my Sis hasn't had a working boiler for two weeks now!)
* Family quiz last night
* Socialising coming up this weekend!
Have a good day all!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Morning all,
Various bits of work sorted this morning and a lovely chat with my main client (we rarely speak on the phone and usually he's calling to query something where inevitable I've done something iffy, but this morning there was just a small query that wasn't really my fault and a lot of Covid-related chat - he's in Belgium where things are going much more slowly).
Meeting Mum later in nearby town for a wander round. Hoping to find some clothes! And then a BBQ for BIL's birthday this evening.
MS things:
* PC survey
* PA surveys (£27 now and £3 pending)
* YG survey
* Olio bits collected yesterday contributed to dinner last night and will do lunch today
* Was a good girl and didn't have a snack after our walk yesterday -compromise position was hot choc instead of tea (just feels like more of a treat) and it came with a biscuit anyway!
Gratitudes:
* The rain held off for our walk yesterday
* The sun is shining today
* Nice chat with client
Between now and going out I need to do housework and maybe start my invoicing for the month
Have a great day!
ETA: Invoicing and accounts done. OP of £39 made (next month is looking tight, so didn't want to overcommit myself - another reason for a low spend month!)Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Ooh I’ve just realised our monthly interest is just £55 (please don’t kick me out for only just realising this!), so new goal for me is to pay the interest in OPs (DH may do additional OPs, but I need a nice easy target at the moment as work is quite). £50.55/£55.47 paid so far this month.
Obviously we need to pay much more than this off to get rid of it ASAP, but in months when I know my income is going to be lower, at least I can manage this.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Have just booked a murder mystery day out thing for August for us and BIL and fiancée. £7.20 each with 20% discount and all Covid safe so hopefully no need to worry about restrictions. Sounds fun and you can take your time and mull things over in the pub! (Facebook advertising does work!). Something to look forward to!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
