    Glad you're feeling better vix and it sounds like you're embracing the positives of being at home by enjoying the garden. Enjoy the forecast sunshine, next couple of days are looking good.

    Hi MadVix. I have kept missing your diary....I have been struggling with a wobbly MSE. It kept chucking me out. It seems to have been sorted now.
    Anyway caught up now...sorry you have been ill and glad you are feeling better. Let's hope it was "it" and you are now immune.

    Have a lovely Easter and enjoy the sunshine x

    Afternoon all,

    Thanks SC - it had been two and a bit weeks for me... although the issue was more that I kept looking for a clutch and to change gear - wrong car! Cath, I'm ever grateful for the garden, and to be honest, I'm used to being at home most of the time, so it's probably not been as challenging for me as for some. Busy Mee - thanks, I'd like to think so too, but who knows?!

    Have been busy in the garden today - started on the pond's annual revamp. It didn't get done last year, so everything is a bit overgrown. Had the lily out and repotted it. Lily roots are massive and create a mat on the bottom of the pond, so just hoiking it out is a two-person job. Fortunately had most of what we need in, but will have to order some more aquatic soil and a pot or two to sort out the reeds. DH was working on the store/utility room (also known as general dumping ground). It's much more organised now and we've identified quite  afew bits for rehoming when this has passed. I think the remainder of today will be dedicated to relaxing, eating hot x buns (and accidentally-traditional fish fingers, chips and peas for dinner... not sure that fish fingers were really the form of fish our ancient forebears enjoyed on Good Friday! :lol: ) and quaffing a tipple of some variety. Tomorrow we are brewing - beer and a wine kit we found in our clearing out. :)

    MS things:
    * Entertainment at home?
    * Using up already bought stuff?
    * NSD so far, although I may order my Dad a jigsaw (he's struggling with the lockdown)

    Gratitudes:
    * A garden
    * Plenty to do!
    * Sunshine :)

    Have a good evening all!

    I love the beer and wine-making idea. I made cider a few years ago - it was a bit like rocket fuel to be honest!

    Thanks SL. We've rescheduled that for Monday now, considering the weather forecast. I've just been doing some work - why can't Americans have Easter off?! - and DH is in the garden doing yet another job that has been put off for too long in the past :) It's so good to be getting these things done!

    Isn't it amazing to realise how much *can* be done in the house that then makes our quality of life better?  Astonishing.  Sorry about the Ameircan work though!

    Totally, Karma, especially considering these are all bitty jobs as we’ve finished proper decorating. There’s always something to be done...

     Have been weeding the patio (well overdue) with the aim of recementing it - we found the stuff to do it yesterday so a double bonus of a job done and stuff out of the way. It seems to be a popular activity this weekend!
