The amount of companies and agencies ive "emailed" in the past and do you know what happens?

    They dont get in touch.

So then i took it upon myself to ring every single one of them and speak to their HR department or whoever deals with applicants.

Do you know what they say?

"oooh errr, it must have got lost in my emails so sorry. Please send it again?"

    POINT?

Point being, get someone on the blower. Always. Let them know you have applied and emailed them and if they can check whether they have received you CV.

I bet you 90% will ask you to send it again whilst youre on the phone because they were to busy chatting and probably sent it to spam.
4 have replied already and one has sent my CV over to the Ledger and Cash team manger who is going to call me on Monday and the other 3 are keeping my CV on file as nothing available at the moment.

I wasn't applying for a job it was a speculative email and CV with my references.

No feedback, I might email them to get some but I have tried numerous times before and nobody has bothered to give me any.

I have a fair travel area and can get to 2 local towns and the nearest city for office hours of 830-5 and up to 10pm so my choice is quite good just seems everyone else is more experienced than me.

Min wage jobs are ok but can't afford to travel to the city for min wage but when I have applied for min wage I find I get rejected before interview.

Pick up the phone and ask.
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

I knew an employer who was emailed after giving interviews but was too wary to reply. Could reply lead to defamation, ageism, prejudiced, or cause an enquiry? Gone are the days when an employer is allowed to say what their ideal candidate is that they are looking for. Lets face it, a child falls over in the playground and teachers aren't allowed to give them a plaster. So if you don't get a response for feedback please don't take it personally. Employers may be frightened of reprisals.

Dear Interhacker, I am not surprised that you are not happy stacking the shelves at ASDA (how depressing). Anyway, I am not 24 years old (thank goodness), but even when I was, I was also turned down for jobs I was qualified for and would have liked - so, please, it is not personal. I am now self-employed (have you thought about this as an option?) - this is my third time of trying and now have been self-employed for over five years - the recession is not helping, but I am making ends meet. Good luck!!!!
