Please can somebody tell me how to unlock a Nokia 3310 that is with virgin? I need step by step instructions (e.g if i need to take sim card out first, etc).

Turn on the phone without a sim card in it and enter the following codes without spaces.

#pw+553 662 760 1+1#
#pw+752 234 551 9+2#

To get the + sign you press the * key twice
To get the p sign you press the * key 3 times
To get the w sign you press the * key 4 times
When you enter the final digit of the code it should say phone restriction off and the phone will be unlocked to all networks.

Dh has a Nokia N80 on Orange contract - looking to unlock it.

I haven't read the whole thread (don't have a few day to kill!), but saw on the 1st post that it's not possible.

Is this still the case? We were looking to try a payg sim from Voda and T-Mobile to see if we can get a good signal. Orange is really patchy around here.

If it can't be unlocked, what are our options?

You do need to register your O2 sim.

If you call orange up and ask for the unlock code they will charge you around £30 which will go onto your Orange pay as you go sim as credit, when the phone is unlocked it will work on any U.K network (Apart from 3 mobile) if Orange wont unlock it for you (they should) then give MSE member james-73 a shout and he should be able to help you.
