    Sorry to hear about the ME. My excuse for being overweight was contentment! Then my DD and now DS :o

    Is it like yoga then? I used to love doing Pilates. During the class you'd feel like you weren't doing hardly anything at all but because you are working your core muscles the day after you felt it!

    Maybe I should start doing that again

    It's nothing like yoga, although it does work your core muscles. I am from an anglo-indian background and would not view yoga as an exercise but as a spiritual practise(any Hindu would say the two cannot be separated). I am a dedicated Christian and would not contemplate doing yoga at all. I found this on wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Callanetics Apparently the exercises were adapted from Callan Pinkney's ballet class. However there is an aerobic version which does incorporate some yoga positions too. Thanks for the heads up. I would not have known this if you hadn't asked.

    Two pre-work gym sessions so far this week :D now if I could just sort out the over-eating then will be all sparkly!

    No weight loss again but I've lost 1" off my waist and 1" off my bust, so going in the right direction.

    I lost 1 lb :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    I know it's a tiny amount, but I am ridiculously over pleased as I think I mentioned before, regardless of whether I've had good days, bad days etc etc, the scales had not budged at all, whatsoever, to the half pound!! Was stuck at 8.5lbs (and an undisclosed number of stone :rotfl::o )
    Was getting so frustrated I was almost at the point of preferring it to go up than stay the blooming same!!
    So that's 1 of my nemisis 9lb that I am determined to shift to drop down into the next stone!!

    (Will probably have gone back up twice as much by tomorrow and my jubilations will be shot down!!)

    Think I might spend the next few countries of Eurovision songs on the exercise bike to try and keep that 1lb at bay!!
    Had a nice cold cider this evening, sitting in the garden once the kids had gone to bed. Lush :)

    But lots of empty calories.

    Will get back into some more sparkling now the weather is better, as one of the things that this challenge made me start doing again was blow drying my hair. Simple thing, yet makes me feel much better having nice neat hair rather than a head full of wiggly snakes! Didn't really bother when we had lots of rain the last few weeks, but now the sun is shining, I should do again. Even though the last thing I'll want to do is blast hot air at my head when it's over 26 degrees outside as it was earlier.

    Right - now where's that bike.. :o

  • Well so much for my hopes of losing a stone this month, my scales have been up and down and im back were i started!! :)

    No major sparkles, feet are looking decent in sandals though, and wearing a sun hat has been a godsend! trying to grow my hair and its at the arkward length were its not long enough to tie back without a million hairgrips, but its now too long to just wash and go, its wavy but doesnt 'wave' in the same direction! so just looks a mess. Ive got away with sticking it under a hat, but have wondered to myself what might happen if i even get asked to take my hat off in the Bank or a shop or something :eek: :rotfl:

    Tell them you can't as you have a "hair condition". If you whisper "hair condition" they'll be too embarrassed to ask what it is and you won't have to explain that the "condition" is its a mess!!!! :rotfl:
