  • Morning all...not been online much lately but nice to come back and see your all still Sparkling brightly :D

My lastest Sparkle effort has been a disaster!! :o I thought i'd treat myself to an epilator (halfprice of course)...well i knew they hurt, but its was like torture to use at first, but decided to stick with it.
the results were pretty smooth and i was pleased :)
but the hairs have now started growing back, but they are all ingrowing under my skin, it looks awful and is also very irritating, ive had to give myself a proper scrub down to try and release the hairs....Think i'll stick to a bic from now on

    Hey fellow Sparklers :)

I've had a complete Sparkle nightmare. I've discovered I'm allergic to Persil washing powder. We swapped over to it because it was on offer. I'm now covered in red spots all over my legs and a couple over my hands and some on my back. I had to break my 'do not buy anything from Boots' promise (I LOVE Boots) and brought a bottle of Sanex Zero to help calm the reaction down.

I've been determind not to get down about it (its been difficult) so I've pushed on regardless. I've lost 6lbs! and was brought some new trainers (early birthday present). So I'm nearly ready for The Race For Life in 4 weeks time. I also dyed my hair which could have been pretty stupid as I have some allergy spots on my scalp too from the towels. I just made sure I didn't touch the roots. I was trying to get my natural hair colour back but there's an alarming amount of grey hairs in it.

I may have spotty yucky legs but I have nicely painted toe nails lol.

    xx

Well done on losing the 6lbs.

My natural hair colour also has lots of grey in it but I decided I prefer it to dyed hair, and its cheaper.

Well I've weighed and I've lost another 1 lb taking to me a stone altogether and leaving me with 2lb to go to be under the next stone. :j

Am really pleased as I didn't want to be going back to work on the chubby side and I've only got 2 weeks til I'm back

Still only on 6 out of the 9lb that I'm working on saying bye bye to forever and to take me down into the next stone.
Have probably lost about 2 stone if I was just to look at all the losses when I weigh myself every couple of days lol, but not when I include all the ups as well :o
Still, 2 thirds of the way there and I haven't really been trying lately I must admit. Gonna go hell for leather though this week and see how I do..

On X stone 1/2 lb now :D So just need 1 more to get down to into the next stone. Will feel like a big milestone, even though it's still too much for me to even take away the X and put the number, to a forum of people who I don't know, and who don't know me!!
I am aware of how silly that is :o

Yey! This thread is EXACTLY what I was looking for! With working loads, and debts, and being unable to buy the extravagent treatments I used to I feel as though I've totally lost my sparkle. Hopefully I'll get some tips and motivation from the lovely ladies on here to help me get it back :j

I'm quite fortunate in that I have a lovely sister who's a hairdresser, so have just had a shiny new 'do... but I'm really struggling without my manicures / waxing / pedicures... how does everyone cope? Also, I've tried home waxing but I'm just too much of a coward lol, I can't bring myself to rip off the sheets, I peel them which obviously does absolutely nothing. I hate shaving though, I feel like I have to do it ALL the time, and I have dark hair so unless it's just been done I feel like you can see the hair :(

Oooh, also what do people do about eyebrows? I am really missing my waxing appointments. I've tried plucking them myself, but I naturally have very arched eyebrows so they look awful if under-plucked but I look VERY surprised if I'm too zealous!
