Well I have managed to keep that 1lb at bay so far, along with another 1.5lbs now too. So that's 2.5 out of the 9lb that I'm determined to be rid of forever to get down to the next stone. I know it's not a lot, but a dripping tap fills a bucket :)
And tapped it into my calculator and it is 27.7% of the 9lb, so that way it sounds a bit more substantial, right :D

Have left the exercise bike up and ready, as it's not often I have the time to get on it at the moment, what with 2 little ones - especially a toddler who likes to bring a pile of books and sit down right next to the bike and look at them with me, as soon as I try and sit on the bike. Of course he's right in the way of the pedals going around!!
So in the past it tended to stay folded up in the corner, often used as a clothes stand instead :o as I only bothered to get it out if I knew I had some time when he was in bed or something, which is rare as there's always other things to do. But at least if it's up, and I can jump on it for 5 mins while he's playing in his room or in the garden and get a few mins done before he realises and comes over to 'keep me company' :rotfl:
Managed about 40 mins yesterday, and while I know it's not as effective as doing a full 40 mins in one go as 5-10 mins here and there doesn't get oyur body working as hard, but it's better than nothing. :)

  • Had my final slimmathon weigh in yesterday and lost a pound this week making 12.5lbs total in 6 weeks. Bit disappointed not to hit the stone mark but still chuffed at such a good loss. Now to keep it up despite the slimmathon ending!!

    Wow, plmbl - that's fantastic :j:T

And here I was banging on about 2.5lbs :rotfl::cool::o:D

(Although suppose I'm even more pleased about it than I thought I was that the extra 1.5lb had gone off when I weighed this morning, as it's the time of the month, and I'm usually an extra couple of lbs when I'm on!

I think it's easier to lose weight when it's weather like we've been having, as I think it lowers your appetite a bit, plus for me I used to graze all day on rubbish when I'm home most of the time, often just out of habit, or without really thinking about it at all. I've been in the garden for most of the time the last week and a half, so the temptation isn't there. Also takes away the wanting of a nice hearty stodgy meal in the evening as it's just too hot for it, so a plate of salad and a bit of grilled chicken or something light is much more appealing.

Durham_Mim, that's fab that you've got that confidence boost - hope your legs enjoyed their outing in the sun :)

And so you should!! It's not easy to lose weight and all losses are good losses. Congratulations :T (not least due to the fight against Mother Nature!!!).

    Hey Everyone,

Just nipping in as things are hectic at the mo, but just wanted to give my total for the weight loss challenge... I lost another 1.5 lbs this week, so have lost 3.5/14 lbs :o. Not great really...

This is the second week I've lost 1.5 lbs though so I'm hoping to carry that on for each week in June, and will aim to lose 6 lbs this month. Hopefully this will be a little more achievable :o. I'm also feeling quite pale so am planning on getting a bit of colour built up (out of a bottle ;)) and wearing make up more often.

What are everyone else's goals for the month?

Went for a family meal last night for DD1's 21st. We took some photos and today I loaded them onto the computer. I was horrified of the ones with me in. I look absolutely HUGE! Feel a bit discouraged as I actually feel quite toned after doing the exercise but it is not showing in those photo's. I am more determined than ever to lose weight, it HAS to come off. I don't feel I can increase the exercise level much more just now as I'm starting to feel tired with the level I'm at. I don't want to have a relapse with the ME it has been such a struggle to get my energy levels up. It just feels like its taking forever to get any results

Oh Durham mim don't be discouraged. You have done so well. Don't push yourself too much as your health is more important. Maybe rest for a week so you don't get too tired then start again at the level you are at now.

For me - I weighed myself this week and lost 3lbs. Now before I get too excited about that I put on 2lbs the week before (time of the month) so I only technically lost 1lb. Never mind it's all a step in the right direction. I now have 2lbs to goal. (there may be a new goal once I get there :o )

Another teeny 0.5lbs off, though sort of technically lost more than that as had gone back up 1.5 a day or so ago, probably because there was too much free food on offer at various Jubilee events and parties! So pleased really that I'm still less than I was despite all the food!
So that's 4.5 out of the 9lb I'm aiming for at the mo to get me down into the next stone, so half way there :j
Don't get me wtong there's plenty of stones to go after this, but just glad as the scales had been stuck on the same weight forever.

Did 20 minutes on the exercise bike yesterday in one go, and another 15 mins here and there in little bits.

Have washed, conditioned and treatmented (should be a word) my hair and blow dried it today. Face exfoliated and moisturised, so I'm not feeling completely ugly today!! :D
