Right found this thread now and have subscribed.
I'm thinking of trying a low carb diet. Due to my food intolerances (gluten free and dairy free) I think this will suit me best. Trouble is as already mentioned meat is so expensive. Will have to try with alternatives or resort to my indian meals such as dahl and veggies.
Have started an exercise regime. I am managing to a little callanetics 2-3 times a week. I did this years ago and had amazing results. I decided to try again as it is gentle exercise which hopefully I can cope with with the ME. I also try to go to the allotment 1-2 times a week, although most of the heavy work is done now.Weight loss 0/2st

:T Great to see so many Sparkles
Welcome to those joining us for the lose a stone challenge ~ Great idea to get us motivated
I dont mind posting my starting weight but will have to add that later when ive weighed myself
You DO NOT have to post a starting weight unless you want to so dont panic, you can still join in with the challenge
Sooooooo How am i going to lose this stone, well i will hit the SW eating plans, and plan some exercise for at least 3 times a week.
In other Sparkling news : today is hair dye daybought on offer a few weeks back saving £1.50. also redo nails day so will be feeling refreshed later
LittleSkintDragon...How did you find your running club? I keep getting an urge to go jogging/ running but feel a bitgoing it alone. Our local gym does organise a running club, but also charges a couple of quid per session, so not very moneysaving for something which isnt even using the gyms equipment and is outside on commonland.

Hello ladies! Looking forward to the lose a stone challenge. Well maybe 'looking forward to' is not quite what I mean, but I'm looking forward to being lighter!
The first thing I'm doing is having porridge for breakfast instead of not having any and then stuffing myself with toast at 11am! And soup for lunch instead of my usual sandwiches (plus biscuits/cake/crisps). And cut out the sugar in my coffee! That's enough to be getting on with
I'm not posting a starting weight but I'm counting down the loss (or gain!)
Good luck everyone xxDeposit £5880/£10,000Sparkle Challenge - Loose 1 stone 0/14lbs

As its the 1st of the month today do I assume our weight loss challenge starts today?
Personally I weigh every Sunday. The reason for this is that we go up my parents for lunch and I weigh there for honesty and humiliationif I've put on I have to admit it so it's a bit like SW or WW without the price.
Last Sunday I was Xstone 6lbs. I want to lose the 7lbs it will take to get me under Xstone. It's been years since I've been under it and I need to get shifted.
I will weigh again this Sunday and report my new weight herebest get cracking then

I'm glad I'm not the only one who really doesn't post their actual weight on here!! Even though no one knows who we really are in 'real life'. Funny isn't it!
I remember someone I worked with who lost a fair bit of weight, and even after she'd lost it she still wouldn't admit how much she had weighed before. Fair enough, right? But then she would quite happily tell everyone how much she weighted now and how much she's lost altogether :rotfl:
In her defence, she wasn't very good at maths, so obviously didn't think anyone else would put that 2 and 2 together!Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -
Monkey it is a bit strange that I am willing to admit how much owe (that took quite a while though) but won't admit what the X stands for!! I'm not even THAT big!

I would love to do the stone in a month challenge with you all, but as i am on 15 days into not smoking, i think it would be too much and dont want to fail at both. I am going to try and start making a few small changes though and try and start cutting out some junk and spending a bit more time on the wii (would do more walking but this weather isnt helping)
Good luck to all that are doing it though, and happy sparkling to everyone!!!PAD Maker0 -

Well done Mandz, and I can totally understand you going at one thing at a time
I really wanted to go to the gym tonight but a) its pouring with rain and b) I didn't finish work til 7. Can't believe I'm making excuses already! So instead I'm going to do a mini work out at home before dinner ( the other half is cooking so I'm guessing it's at least an hour till it's ready)
