Oooo....despite my pooly back, I've somehow managed 20 lengths at the pool tonight - I know that it doesn't sound like much, but it's my first swim in about 15 years. I don't feel very sparkly at the moment, but I'm sure I'll get some benefit eventually.....:j(I wish I could do that!!) Cash about to land in the sparkle fund :)

well done icemice :) :T that is 20 lengths more than I can manage. Will this help with your back? sorry to hear about your accident and welcome to the thread. You will get your sparkle back :)

You can do anything you like with it. Buy little things monthly or save for something bigger. Its our sparkle fund. But I think it should be spent on ourselves though.

    :)

Wow what an inspiring thread. I love the title too.

I read the whole thing and was so inspired that I had to get up and start cleaning my room to start re-sparkling my life.

Baby fiat was cleaned at the weekend so she is all sparkly just my room and myself to go. I thing I will have a nice long shower and do my nails later, hopefully it will perk me up.

    Thanks for the inspiration.
  • Well done icemice. I have to say that swimming works wonders for my back when I can do it. Not managing to get to the pool at the moment.
I have managed another run this week and a zumba class tonight. I'm not getting so out of breath so I must be getting fitter and another £1 in the fund :)

  • Sorry I keep forgetting to update :o

Lost 5.5lbs this week :j:j which puts me in the next stone down (which is still horrendous but not as bad as the last one!). Amazing how much more positive you feel when you try hard and get the results you want/deserve. Just to echo what was said earlier in the thread, I do Slimming World and never feel hungry because I can eat massive portions. Cant exercise much though as I have a problem with my foot that can take up to a year to heal  Been 5 months so far so could have quite a wait to go. Might invest in a new swimming cozzie though and try that (though I always feel guilty going swimming without the kids but I dont swim enough when I take them. Decisions!!).

Anyway, waffle over, I'm off for much needed beauty sleep :)

alternate weeks. Go swimming one week without them, so you get your swim. then the following week go with them, so you don't feel guilty and you still get some exercise.
  • Hi all

Think I will be joining you all!! Not sure how I am going to get my sparkle back though (except by losing about 4 stone!).

Reading some of your posts has made me :D as I have realised I am not as bad as I could be hehe! I defuzz once a week and moisturise every night, don't know why I just can't not do it!

I've started getting my nails done, but at £15 a time I think this will have to be a treat rather than a regular thing! Also, after loathing them for years, tried a sunbed last week. Still don't agree with them but I have psoriasis or something and I've been told it could help.

Anywho, you have given me lots to think about this weekend as I try and come up with a way to start my sparkle fund!

    JCG xx
  • Jaffacakegal lol, that should be my DH name (boy though). 4 stone to lose, you and me both.

3 swims in this week and an aerobics class = 40p

Everyone is so positive, well done all :j:j:j

I am spending my sparkle fund next Friday. I want some self tanning lotion as, I have none left ! usually lots in my lotions and potion stash cupboard :T

I am actually going to pay for it using my sparkle 10ps so that I feel I have used it.

    :)
