  • sparkly update:p

    yesterday I -

went for a walk and spent 5 hours out (10p)
put a lovely necklace on (10p)
    earrings (10p)
    painted nails (10p)
    moisturised (10p)

    Today I have:

    de-fuzzed (10p)
    moisturised (10p)
Still here..... but working on that!
  • Think I need to deduct from my "sparkle Fund" ........mindless ate all day yesterday.....

But I am not going to though :rotfl:. I am going to buy my tan lotion today. So clean slate and new sparkle fund started for today.

My lotion will help me look a bit more healthy, I get the one with the moisturizer in it, that does not leave streaks and I only use it every 3 days, so its looks as natural as possible.

Hope everyone sparkles well over the weekend.

    :)

Hi everyone, this is such a brilliant thread, and something I really need.

My hair has been in dire need of a trim so I have been nipping off the ends myself and have done quite a good job!:rotfl: and trying to find an alternative while I've not been having highlights in - I used a sachet and it's quite good (superdrug 79p).

I think I need to set aside a small amount of money for a "sparkle fund" as I've not bought any new clothes for ages, or any make-up or perfume, and obviously need a boost and to keep my appearance and morale up!!
Thanks for all the ideas on here!:j

:hello: and welcome to all that have recently joined, lovely to have you on board.

I haven't been straightening my hair everyday as I don't like the burnt smell and I couldn't be bothered :(

BUT have been putting heel softener and foot softener cream on my feet and going to bed with cotton socks on, so hopefully by summer will have decent feet! Need to get DH to paint my toe nails.

I actually put on a pair of earrings for the first time in years, they were free from the Daily Mail offer last year, what a con that was, DH said they looked tacky, so I put them away...:rotfl: but he has now promised to buy me a pair... waits and waits some more...

have been trying to moisturise my legs a bit more, trying to get summer ready.

    *lurker alert*

That's me too .... mine desperately needs cut (think it was done at some point last year but can't quite remember when:o) and have been a bit snip happy recently which is a sign I really must get it done!

Anyway ... to you all - love the inspiring posts :T and I've chuckled along the way as many things are so "me" (fuzzy legs & several stone to lose incl:rotfl:).

Don't think I'm quite up to joining you full blast atm (things a bit difficult:() but will be taking small steps bit by bit:)

I know I've certainly got sachets of face masks hiding in a drawer, tonnes of lotions & potions here, there & everywhere - and there really is no excuse for not pampering myself a bit now & then (if they've already been bought after all:))

So ... tonight I will soak in the bath with bath salts, put a face mask on, de-fuzz the legs, use shampoo and conditioner and slap on the body lotion afterwards:)

Hi everyone :) Room for one more?

I've had a lot going on in my life recently with cr*p coming at me from all sides and have really let myself go :(

I used to take so much pride in my appearance, wore lovely suits, blouses and skirts to work with nice jewellery and never a hair out of place, not I chuck on whatever I can find that doesn't look too creased and don't even bother fully straightening my hair... I've even gone to work make up free

It's time for change! I've recently been made permanent in my job and had a fantastic six month review where my boss told me he wants me to be FC of the company within a year(!) Highly unrealistic as the original plan was 5 years, but his belief in me has made me realise I'm not as worthless as I thought.

Sorry for the rambling, but anyway I'd love to get my sparkle back... the debts are on track so just need to sort myself out now.

Thanks for the inspiration you lovely lot. xxx
