hun, you don't have to post everyday, I don't. Just pop in and post whenever you like :) it is good to hear that this thread started by MONEYSPIDER is inspiring so many people to look after themselves.

    a big :T to MONEYSPIDER

Well said Aesop big :T:T:T to moneyspider and RFTA, read and post when you wish, even 5 mins chill time sitting on your back step in the sunshine is you time. Any little tiny thing at all that makes you feel good. I seem to be adding in money saving and all sorts, I have spread out a bit from "self sparkling" :rotfl::rotfl:. Its whatever at all makes "you" feel good and sparkly.

My sparkle fund still intact. I am even being frugal with my sparkle fund :j. The self tanning cream I wanted was £2+ I would not pay it. I'll wait until I get to Savers or the £1 shop.

    :)

  • Hello all,

I have just signed up to the forums so I can join the 7lb club on the health & beauty board, as my excessive weight gain is really getting me down; however, taking a good hard look at myself this morning (new month, new start), it isn't just the weight:

My house is a mess, my diet awful, my relationship is going through a difficult patch and I am just going through the motions at work. I am in a real fug and this is reflected in both my appearance and surroundings.

So, instead of the woe is me, I am going to do something about it and this thread and the attitude of the people posting here is just what I need!:j

The weight is the first thing I want to try and tackle & exercise is a key thing for me, so starting today I am going to put 50p in my sparkle fund for every mile I swim or walk. This fund is going to be spent on me (hard to say that as I don't tend to spend on myself): be it a nice shampoo I want to try, a massage, or a new outfit when I reach my target weight.

    Betty

I know how you feel Betty. I don't like the way I look/feel at the moment, and that is causing problems in my relationship too.

Small steps though... so today while OH is at golf I've had a nice long soak in the bath and used some of the lotions and potions that cost me a fortune but sat gathering dust for god knows how long.

Rather than having a sparkle fund, I'm just going to use what I have - I have tons of clothes in my wardrobe with tags still on, and lots of beauty products unused.

It's time for change and the sooner I start to feel better about myself, I know my relationship will get better.

  • yes Ka8eh89, all the problems are down to me and my issues.

Right, legs shaved :o, toes painted and kitchen has had a good spring clean. It is amazing how sparkly kitchen counters can make you feel!

Off to do some weeding in the garden now to make the most of this sunshine- supposed to snow next week

Feeling so much better just doing these small things.

Had a bath yesterday and moisterised after, tonight once the kids are in bed i am going to put on a face mask and then try and tackle my feet and try and get them looking better, i cut my nails the other day but i have lots of foot creams i can use and may also get the nail polish out.

I too hate the way i look and i think it is mainly down to my weight, with minimum spends for the easter holidays, think i will be taking the kids out and walking alot more and maybe running round after them at the park

OK ... I'm awarding myself a Sparkle Star for today :):) - not got a lot of spare cash around atm & I've so many pots already .... both online banking (10) and real (3) that I need to think how it's feasible to do this (£2, £1 and 50ps are already accounted for!).

I might do a reward when I get to X no of stars .... mmmmm need to have a think!

I've managed to chuck myself out the house and go to the beach for a walk (not easy without the dog, believe me), have pottered around in the garden and am now absolutely frozen (beautiful & sunny and warm if you're in it but there's a really cold wind ....).

So ... hot water on and going for a soak in luxurious bubble bath (measured of course :rotfl:- well I have to make it last!), face pack, de-fuzz, shampoo & condition and moisturise! ohhhh sounds rather nice!

  • Sparkles stars, good idea.

I have decided to only put in 10ps sparkle effort. I defuzz and moisturize regularly, so feels like I am putting in for things I do anyway. So its extra effort or done well in other sparkle area for me only.

Wow lots of motivation going on here, we be blinding everyone with out sparkle by summertime

    Hey Everyone,

Not been around for a while :o

Not much sparkling going on either. I've got £2 to add to the pot from exercise today and sat though. Might have a long bath later and pamper myself a bit, and will have to make more of an effort this week... :)
  • Hey can i join please what a wonderful thread its time for this Daddy to sparkle...
  • Morning you gorgeous lovelies :D
