It is possible. I received my email from Lovefilm an hour before you and I have no doubt that someone else will have received theirs before me. It really is the luck of the draw! Disregarding the dvd player which I didn't expect to get anyway, the offer is great. The films are coming thick and fast and from the top of my list so I am very happy:)

I got my confirmation by email of my membership on the 22/3 at 10:21am but really dont expect to get a DVD player.I think somebody on the board posted the link to the offer earlier so I will wait and see but I would be very surprised if I get a DVD player

I'd have thought it more than possible 50 could have gone in 12 minutes
they must have a database of many thousands, plus others may have recived their email earlier, depends on the isp really.

Did anyone write to the address to request a list of winners? If not I will try to do it this week although I suspect it will take up to 28 days (as usual!) to get a response

Didn't expect to be in the running for the DVD player but mist say that ouit of the few trials I have done recently Love film have been the best service. I am constantly getting my top choices. On Wednesday I was sent 2 films that only came out on Monday. Will be interesting to see if they offer any incentive to stay with them after the 3 months.

Just a word of warning. I started a free trial in January, cancelling before my next billing date.

Returned all the DVDs in due time. Got an email cancellation stating my account had been cancelled.

Lo and behold I get an email from lovefilm saying they couldn't charge me for this month on account of me not having any money in my account. Thought this wasn't right, so I checked the lovefilm site to find my account was still active, but it had been frozen due to no payment.

Turns out since the free trial they had continued to charge me each month due to me not returning a DVD, which I had indeed done so.

Up until now I had not received any emails from lovefilm, be it subscription emails, "your rental queue is too short" emails (which I received practically everyday during the trial) or any emails asking for the DVD back.

Checking my bank statement I now see they have indeed been charging me £14.99 a month for a service I hadn't used and assumed was cancelled.

Found it quite telling that the only email I received from them was that they couldn't take any more money from me.

Needless to say I emailed them and my account has now been cancelled for real this time, and my claim has been forwarded to the refunds department. Should hear back in 7-10 days allegedly.

Will see how it goes. So just make sure you cancel properly!

they NEVER email back! i have sent loads but lately i dont even get confirmation that its been received like you're supposed to...its not my pc or my email account, as two friends noticed this too.

however i'm still signed up for the 3 months for 1 thing, they do send out quickly usually from the top of my list.

has anyone else had this mysterious problem?

I find it much easier to ring them as emailing them takes ages to get a response.

i joined tis websitetoday and chose the unlimited 1 package 9.95 ijoined today 14 april and it says mynext biling date is 15 april how is this possible i should get a free trial i am a new member never used them before or any oyher compnay but if they do take the money out of my account what shall i do about it

They shouldnt take any money, that date should change.
Thats what happened to me when i rejoinned with this 3 for the price of 1 offer, it changed after a few days.



And i have to say, it was amazing how when i was on the free trial i recieved all the new releases and my top choices.

Now that i have rejoinned, what do they send? dvds that are 10th and below in my list.

UNBELEIVABLE.
(but i guess films are films, and you only put the ones you want to watch on the list anyway)
