Katy - swap Zara for your fish? LOL0

Paddypaws - I did not do the full change either, with the OkoPLus.
What I do is...
When both trays are very low, siewe all into one tray, wash the other, siewe all again into the washed one top up with a bit of fresh one, wash the other tray, put all ne in other tray...
If that makes sense?
Never threw away ANY of the litter, using it (cats not me) all to the last granule....0 -
Fred is a flea/tick magnet... oters are okish..
Not sure about Indoreks as I have zero carpets/fabric sofas, can one spray ndorex on leather/laminate/tiles?

Perhaps that explains why yours is more dusty than mine then. I used to do a full change weekly when I've used other litters; with OKO I find I don't have to do it as often, but I wouldn't leave it longer than two weeks.
This not only reduces the dust (there must surely be some residue even after sieving), but as penny_pincha says, there will be all sorts of bacteria etc that you don't see on old litter, which will get worse as it is re-used more often.
Even with this approach of a full change (and litter tray disinfect) every fortnight, a 40L sack still lasts 2 months+ for my five (although they do "go" outside as well. Or at least some do)0 -
I do not put much in the trays so there is very, VERY little of "old" litter.
I clean the boxes every week but I do not throw away any litter.
Just changed mine now... will not last another month. I am assuming a 40 litre bag will last me 6-7 weeks.
This time a bit less actually as today my daughter is coming over wit her 2 girls to stay with my lot while I am at the hospital so it will be 6 cats in here.
Still - as far as value for money goes - Oko Plus is an absolute winner.
BUT - if I could afford it (and I can not) - would have Golden Grey Master back .. Golden Grey Master was absolutely the best at clumping/tracking/odour masking.0 -
Oh dear....6-8kg: 2 Drontal Cat Tablets
Normal drontal £1.43:
http://www.animeddirect.co.uk/cats/worming/drontal-cat-worming-tablets-priced-per-tablet.html
So... 2 tablets x 3 cats is 6 tablets = 8.58
and Macius the baby2-4kg: 1 Drontal Cat Tablets
So... £8.58 + £1.43 = £10.01 every 3 months so....around £3.30 per month
All according to:See dosage chart below for examples:- Up to 2 kg: 0.5 Drontal Cat Tablets
- 2-4kg: 1 Drontal Cat Tablets
- 4-6kg: 1 Drontal Cat XL Tablets
- 6-8kg: 2 Drontal Cat Tablets
- 8-10kg: 1 Drontal Cat Tablets PLUS 1 Drontal Cat XL Tablets

Deal! They are pretty friendly little guys
Zara can play with Tyson too, to give me a break! He has been to the vets today and been told he can reduce his visits to monthly now which should save me a little bit. So pleased!0 -
Great news on the dog walking front :jYep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0

Thank you. Just checked out this company and I have now added it to my bookmarks. Looks like I will contact them when I next need some pharmaceutical supplies. :j
I find that, as I buy quite a bit at a time and can play the 'I can recommend you to my new kitten owners' card that I am in a strong position to negotiate a good price with other companies.;)
You don't ask, you don't get.0
