*sigh* and Mia really needs a new scratching post in her room ......
I've just turned it around as the front side is scratched through (it was the old one from the hall!) and I've obviously already done that as the back is even worse! :rotfl:
They have this one in the hall and it's lovely and tall ....

They've got a shorter one in the lounge that's not that old ... but she does use it too so don't know that it's a good idea to remove it (would much rather that than the sofa!)
*sigh*
I'd got a few bits for mum and she gave me the money for them today ..... guess where that's going then!

*sigh*
I'm hopeless ..... still haven't hit the 'checkout' button!
I def have enough for them to have to split it into boxes ...... just having a 'moment' over the scratching post ..... she does need a new one but it could wait until next month I guess but she has stopped using it which is what's worrying me ......
*sigh*
It's up to just under £50  this was supposed to be a little order as I've already done a big food stock up for them
On the litter front - I've had to add extra to Mia's tray  she was down to the bottom of the tray this morning .... so, 1 full bag in each at a change + about 1/4 of a 2nd bag
If I was good at physics I'd try to work out the volume difference between the trays ..... but I'm notGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Order finally done .... I took out one of the packs of pate cans for Mia - 1 still in which will keep her going with what i have left until next month & I can get it then as I'll need to stock up on all the others by then!:undecided
So .... with that removed (£5.99) and the savings on the cat litter (£2.50). that's very nearly covered the cost of her new scratching post!
(that's my justification & I'm sticking to it :rotfl:)Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Just sold Mia's current scratching post for £5 on the local selling site! :money:
Figured it was worth a shot - it's quite tall (76cm) and really not in bad nick ...... she just scratches one spot so there's a 4" square bit which is scratched and the rest looks untouched
Should do fine for someone else's cat to have a go at for a good while (the changes of them scratching exactly the same spot surely have to be slim!)
Wish I'd thought of it earlierthe other one that needs replaced (slightly smaller but still tall compared to a lot on the high street / in pet shops) has the same 4" scratched bit but it's unfortunately about to snap the rope ......
So - her new post has cost me £4.19!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Just thought I'd jump into the thread and sum up my pets' costs so I can see just how much I'm spending on them :rotfl: Haven't done this recently and definitely not since getting a 4th cat.
Dog (x1) per month
Food - £30
Training/treats - £4
Insurance - £21
Petsitter - £100 (this is for both dog & cats btw)
Flea & worming £2 (bearing in mind I treat for this irregularly)
Cats (x4) per month (for all 4 cats)
Food - £120
Insurance - £30
Flea & worming - £6 (again, treat irregularly)
Litter - £10 (only kitten uses tray and she's starting to go outside mainly so this should eventually be nothing)
So total is currently about £325 per month - £3,900 per year, plus whatever additional costs e.g. dog vaccinations, new collars, toys, anything vet-wise which falls under excess so I don't bother claiming for etc. So that'll be well over £4000 a year in total - eek!
Would rather not have known! :rotfl: And I love how the dog (who certainly isn't small) is the cheapest of them all in everything apart from insurance.0
