Hoping to get some wedding stuff done this weekend, want to work on the wedding website and get our gift list sorted. We know where we want it but haven't decided on what to put on it, hoping we can write a list and get that sorted and ticked off the list. Such a long list of things still to do though0

Steph - when are you supposed to do the marriage license bit? I'm getting married before you and haven't thought about that  I actually don't know anything about it - though I'm in Scotland and having a humanist wedding so maybe it's different here?
My bridesmaids tried on and loved the twist and wrap dresseswell three of them did, my sister couldn't make it as she wasn't well so she's coming round tomorrow. Have ordered the other two dresses anyway as I can't see her having any objection to them, they are really flattering and surely out of 15 styles she'll like one!
For anyone considering them and wondering about sizing, my three today all fit in the small dress (one is 6/8 and the other two are 10s) and my sister (12/14) will fit in the medium as my mum tried it to make sure it was definitely big enough. So the dresses weren't quite as small made as I thought. It only just touches the floor on my 5' 10" bridesmaid (who'll wear flats) so if your bridesmaids are taller, watch out!
I bought my shoes todaywell, my mum paid for them but as they were only £24.99... I didn't feel bad :money:. Here's a link here:

Also ordered my underskirt from eBay (£12 rather than the £80 in the bridal shop) which arrived today, and have ordered foam flowers to try making artificial bouquets. We'll see how I get on as I'm not that crafty :rotfl:

BlueGreen, those shoes are insane :O Are you able to walk in them?! Very pretty, but I probably couldn't stumble across a room in them let alone down the aisle
This weekend we are confirming our new wedding date. Long story but had to change our date from august 23rd to either 17th May or 6th September. May because it is a beautiful month for nature and also sooner, September because it gives us more honeymoon options (we plan to wait a month or 2 as I have ME and will most likely be laid up in bed for a while after a busy wedding day). No idea what to go for! These dates are both free with church, venue and photographer
So far we have:
Booked church
Booked photographer
Ordered wedding dress - from DressilyMe in china, should be arriving monday so fingers crossed its ok
Found reception venue - Its not completely ideal as its 35mins drive from the church, but it is a beautiful 4* country house hotel and we negotiated a fantastic deal... £2,100 for 60 day guests with 3 course meal, half bottle of wine pp, welcome and toast drinks, 40 additional evening guests with buffet plus bridal suite. PM if you would like details of the venue, don't feel comfortable posting it online
Bought bridesmaid dress
Bought bridesmaid headband - ebay
Got my shoes - Ballerina style ones but with a tiny block heel, ivory with a vintage crystal and ribbon design on the toe area, bargain for £18 using codes
Started making place name tags
Decided on gift for my new husband - engraved pocket watchand his fave aftershave
Thats itThe thought of booking hair and makeup ladies is really stressing me out as the good ones are so expensive and it seems really wrong to spend so much money just on getting my hair and makeup done!! Although I want to look beautiful of course....don't know what to do as I'm rubbish at hair and makeup stuff and so is my mum and bridesmaid!

We got engaged on September 12th in Spain and have set the date for May 3rd!!
We are having an early morning registry office appointment with just our witnesses to get the formal bit done. In the afternoon we are having a Humanist ceremony in our garden for 200 guests, followed by a marquee reception in the garden of our village pub (approximately 3 minutes walk away)
So far, the registry office, the celebrant, the marquee, the caterer and the photographer have all been booked. I'm trying on dresses on October 5th and sending 'save the dates' in early November...
The very creative girls who live next door are making my bouquets and decorating the trees in the garden, and my aunt is making the cake...
So far so good..... 0 -

Does anyone know of any websites that do free templates for save the dates and invites?
I've found save the date templates I like but can't find a matching one for invites. Unless, soomeone knows how to change a protected pdf template?
Thanks14 projects in 2014: 3/140 -
Sorted the invites today well chuffed
picked up the license yesterday.
Bluegreen I don't think you have to have a license for a humanist ceremony only if you are having a legal ceremony
