Anyone having a 2014 wedding?

So far we have booked and paid the deposit for our wedding on 26th april 2014! And confirmed the registrar to come to our venue So exciting!!!

We are planning a 2014 wedding (27/3/14)
We have put deposits on the register office, social club, entertainment, and cake. Dress brought, photos planned and sorted. Silk flowers sorted, doing really well with organising so far

We've booked our wedding for 24/05/2014 and I'm spending all my spare time literally looking at wedding stuff and trying to save! Have a look at venues and the bigger costs because they might be nice and charge you the current prices

ME!!!! My wonderful fiance (it's very weird to use that word) proposed to me yesterday & we are now planning on 03.05.14. We know where we would like, just need to do the actual booking. I am so excited & so amazingly happy

Ditto! I'm not even officially engaged yet (first step is OH saving for the ring but I know it's going to happen)
So planning for 2015, I like the idea of having everything set out in advance then I can just iron out any creases nearer the time

we are getting married 2nd august 2014. We've known each other for 13 years, been together 7 years in august and have been engaged for a month. We have our venue booked and are paying 2013 prices. thats all we have done so far as cant get wedding insurance until august as will only cover for 2 years. Cant book registrar yet either for the same reason! looking forward to hearing how everyones planning is going!

yes, i am! we got engaged in february while on holiday, had our engagement party in april and now we're viewing venues! think we might have found 'the one' this week... eeeeek!

we are hoping to get married 22.05.14

i've found the most gorgeous coloured patterned card to make all our stationary... I'm an ocd organiser with anything and i absolutely love that I have 2 years to get this day well prepared... we've chosen daisies for the flowers, have an entertainer in mind...

I imagine once we officially set a date and put down a deposit, it will take me 6 months tops to get everything sorted (minus the dress.... weight loss needed first haha!)

i'm soooooo excited already!!!!

Yay some other 2014 brides we've just booked the venue can't book the registra till 12 months already looking at casino tables etc we're getting married 5/4/14

its nice to know I'm not the only one planning ahead!, is anyone else getting the 'your bonkers for planning this far in advance' speeches?. we went to see the vicar on Sunday and he told us we cant book until November, gutted! I really wanted the date down.
I think its better planning this far ahead as you seem to get all the 'gypsy weddings' ideas out of your head and get back to what's really important to both of you.
