The really cheap Asda/Tesco curry sauces - awful awful awful. .

I bought some last year, just for the jars when I was making apple chutney & had more apples off my tree than I thought.

The sauce is cheaper than buying new glass jars, sad but true :money:

Anything other than fairy liquid is a total waste of money

    Absolutely second that!

Have you tried the Aldi ones? I use them after reading which magazine, and find they are really good, only need a tiny drop. Have just opened the pink one though and is very, erm, fragranced. You can smell it upstairs even when I just use the tiniest amount!

I'll second this! I coud taste the pink washing up liquid on our mugs, even asfter they'd been rinsed. The original green one and the lemon are both great and not overpowering.

I would only use Fairy but the Magnum is excellent, I won;t be buying Fairy again.

I'm presuming that you've taken them off and washed them at least a couple of times in the meantime. :)

My most spectacular false economy was really cheap cling film. Some lessons cannot be taught ...
Me too and kitchen foil, I only buy Lakeland's foil and cling film now.

A fuel-saving frying pan with three compartments, the idea being you could cook your egg, mushrooms and beans separately on the same ring. Egg stuck, beans burnt, mushrooms barely cooked. Pan went straight in bin!

Another one for cheap pens, cheap hair conditioner (its almost plastic-y, and I mean the value stuff) so its been relegated to getting used for shaving my legs!

Cheap bras if you have big boobs. I once brought one from Asda, wore it once and the strap broke while I was wearing it!

I really didn't mean to giggle here! I know what you mean. I bought a couple of cheap Tesco bras....never again. It makes such a difference to buy Debenhams, M&S, or BHS underwear. Lasts much longer and boobs sit much nicer!

I used to feel the same not so long ago, but then wanted to buy products that have not been tested on animals, and found the coop washing up liquid on par with £airy. So I'm a happy bunny. :D
