Anything other than fairy liquid is a total waste of money

Have you tried the Aldi ones? I use them after reading which magazine, and find they are really good, only need a tiny drop. Have just opened the pink one though and is very, erm, fragranced. You can smell it upstairs even when I just use the tiniest amount!

Oh also meant to say, we get the Nicky loo roll from home bargains, £4 for 18 rolls, and it's quilted and I find very nice, and seems to last us ages (and I wipe the potty out a few times a day too!). The cheaper one comfy soft is very naff though.

Cheap toilet rolls are a waste of money; I also buy the Nicky ones from Home Bargains.
I have tried others, but have always returned to Fairy liquid. (Might depend on the water where you live.)
Primarni has a lot to answer for; now the majority of people accept exceptionally poor quality clothing and it is getting very hard to buy anything of the quality that M&S used to be!
    REMEMBER
You buy cheap and you buy twice.
  • I do think you have to know what you're buying at Primarni. I've got stuff from there that's five or six years old and still in excellent condition, then there are other things which are disposable fashion and didn't last long at all.

Cheap washing up liquid is false economy (wouldn't know about the rubber glove side of it as I don't use them!), also have found home made bread to be false economy as I never pay more than about 50p for a loaf by making the most of yellow stickers.

bought tesco value cling film several times before giving in and buying more expensive one...very glad i did.

value bin bags are good for light stuff but arent all that strong so i double them up rather than buy more expensive ones as i dont use them very much

Some cheap coffee I just don't like, absolutely hated the cheapo stuff from Mr A, T and L, but quite like Mr T own brand Gold which is much cheaper than Nescaff. I try and buy it when on offer and buy a big jar so it lasts ages (especially as I have it quite weak).

  • The really cheap Asda/Tesco curry sauces - awful awful awful. Far better to use any curry powder blend and cook fresh.

The same for cheap pasta sauces and cheap diet colas.
    Put the kettle on. ;)

Cheap bread. Tasteless, pappy, goes mouldy quickly. I buy my bread from our village bakery (I am hopeless at making it, even with a breadmaker!) - and if you need it sliced, they put it through the slicig machine on the spot!

It seems to be very hit and miss at Primark - as a long legged size 14 I can't get a good fit from any of their clothes but I have friends that some great outfits. Personally I prefer to buy good quality brands from charity shops - generally speaking, they have already been washed a few times so any shrinkage or colour run has already occurred. :)

Its Aldi washing up liquid for me - not as good as Fairy but excellent value at 57p :)

    Cheap pens and pencils.

If you need to do a lot of writing for work, cheap pens and pencils waste so much time, end up getting binned before running out and are not comfortable to write with.
Better off spending a bit more, using a pen such as a Staedtler stick instead of some knock off Biro.
Hoping this year is better than the last. :)
