Have checked my bank and it's empty! No pay day for 11 days so it will be a VERY tight countdown to payday. I have around £15 in my purse, plus £10 in Mr T vouchers.

I don't feel panicked or worried, just capable and empowered by the challenge!

    Day 2 completed.

Had cereal for brekkie, salad for lunch, fruit for snacks (and biscuits/sweets too), then made a butter bean houmous for tea. Had this with a chapatti bread, a few cherry toms and the leftover lamb from last night.

If I need anything later I'll have salady type stuff.

Also need to make my lunches for next few days- salad stuff.

Have washing up and clearing up the bedroom to do.

    No pennies spent= happy shoes!

I should join in with this challenge. I have already notched up two separate stints of seven NSDs on the trot and am currently on day three of a six day no spend bender.

As long as I plan them in advance and keep some emergency pound coins in my coin purse I can do it. Had a major wobble this morning because I craved a McDonalds brekkie but I was good and resisted.

Holy moly........another NSD as have had head in freezer all afternoon ,exhausting stuff!!

My fridge freezer has 4 drawers and is the slimmer model due to space in kitchen for one. So not a large one by any means.

    I found......

    3 packs of s.salmon
    1 pack s.trout
    A box of seaweed
    Large pack of s.mackrel
    Pack of salmon fillets
    Pate
    Pack of chicken breasts
    Chicken gravy
    2 bags HM tom soup
    2 bags HM celery soup
4 bags chicken meat from roasts for pies
    1 large beef joint
    2 whole chickens
    A duck
    3 HM beef curry
    W pack s.haddock
    6 bags HM veg soup
    4 bags HM beef stew
    3 HM pasta sauce
    1 bag HM beef gravy
    7 bags HM chick stock
    25 fish fingers
    1 bag indian potatoes??
1 bag of ?? No name and unrecognisable

    Can you believe that !!?

And I eventually got it all back in!

I am good at packing..........no wonder when it comes to hols friends ask me to pack their cases to get it all in:rotfl:

    Snozberry.....you already sound like a pro!.....and welcome.

    Keep going all.

    Walk away from the purse...........:T
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.

my freezer to seems to be crammed, one reason I S.Cooked the ham hock as it was taking up so much room.I am slowly working my way through it all and I do hope to get it empty by just before my holiday in August. It sound a long way off but I really do have a lot in there.I seem to have quite a bit of fish in the bottom so I can see a few fish based meals coming up.Lots of it is LO stuff though that I have saved for another day .One reason how I can stay out of the shops I look to see what I can have for dinner today and fix veg around it.Tonight I will have a chicken breast with some grated cheese and rocket salad with the last couple of jersey royals that I bought last week. For pud there will be one of my yoghurt pot jelly and custards .I made my quiche and will be using it for lunches this week.My dribble of cream will go on top of my porridge this morning so thats another left over sorted.Day four of NSD today and I'm very pleased at how things are going I am hoping to get to Sunday at least without going near a shop I have enough bread/milk and veggies to last and I can use up something from the freezer, probably fishy, if possible
Onwards and upwards chums we are all doing grand in our efforts to hang onto the pennies.

  • Hi all just had a catch up read.
updated signature. Had a few hiccups but still thinking if i can do without and if I can make do with anything i have in store.
Had board from DD and only spent £5 .02 of it on essentials, milk, cat stuff .Still got to get electric and gas and petrol .
Been absent as been busy placing stuff on ebay, forgot how much time you need to put 25 items on  but worth it as 3 already have good bids on.Thinking what else I can sell (husbands?????)
Joined the double your money thread too so been researching what I can sell and working out my how much i want to spend (no more than £20 )

    keep up the good work,
Fiscal Fast = 7 NSD out of 9 days
    Avoiding the BIG4 = 12 days :) beg 5/5/12
    Shracknel & Road Kill Jar=£7.49 :j
All that i ask is a chance to prove that money wouldn't make me happy.

another day done. £10 of Mr T vouchers arrived today. That should cover most of my topup shop at the weekend. 4 days left. Tomorrow have some parking to pay but this is already set aside so not counting it as a break of FF.
