Most of my freezers are ys, just got out a pie which I normally wouldn't buy, prefer to make my own, was 4.65 got it fo 88p its thick steak like the ones you buy Iin a butchers that's the only reason I bought it for sa convienience dinner, even still I wouldn't pay that for a pie the meat content is still very low all puff pastry but more than usual pies.i too base my dinners around most ys stuff. tomorrow is ys bacon ribs with bbq sauce and will do hm coleslaw and baked spuds, just regular potatoes not those baking ones as they do us.C.R.A.P.R.O.L.L.Z #7 member N.I splinter-group co-ordinater

Yes they do seem to overcharge for large baking potatoes. Personally I wioll try and get things from my local independent butcher and greengrocer when I can even though the greengrocer is pretty pricey, he does offer a good range. It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.0

I think that retailers know that many people are too lazy to shop around so can rip people off. My food bills are roughly the same as last year even though prices have risen. My big online orders are getting rarer and Mr T has sent 2 sets of coupons that have gone unclaimed. I will try and support local retailers. If you don't use it, you lose it can be the case. It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.0 -
I know I am going to lose local traders soon its obvious by the way most shops near me are closing down but I not in the position financially to support them if their prices sre so silly, I suppose its a case of if I don't grow my own ,which I do grow quite a bit , it seems the big supermarkets have got another victim....................me lol.C.R.A.P.R.O.L.L.Z #7 member N.I splinter-group co-ordinater

Yes but you can also get what you pay for. The supermarkets proved that with the horse meat scandal. It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.0
