Hi all, would you mind if I tried to give this a go too? Mr E and I could really do with saving some pennies and are finding ourselves slipping back into the habit of popping to the shops almost daily and spending a fortune. I need to get a couple of bits this morning (milk and nappies (have a 1yr old), some tinned tomatoes and 2x large potatoes) but other than that hope to spend nothing else for the next 7 days and just live out of stocks. I have enough for main meals for 10days at least (I have really ran the freezer down recently) but as DH, DS1 (7yrs) and I all take packed lunched everyday, I'm not sure I could go the full 10 days without shopping at all.

    E:)

    Hi everyone :)

Day1 completed and not a penny spent. I did a menu plan up to the weekend and it will hardly make a dent on the freezer :)

So hoping to stretch out for a couple of weeks with just buying bread, milk and veg. Have discovered that fresh fruit tends to go to waste so am making do with tinned and the occasional carton of fruit juice. We eat plenty of veg so it's not as if we will come to any harm.

I hope everyone is doing ok. Better get back to work.

    Good morning all :)

It's a bit chilly here this morning , roll on spring :)

Another day done and still not spent anything:) but today I need electric (but that was already budgeted for) so I'm still on track

Now for a nice cup of tea before I get on with my day. Have a good day everyone :)
