Only a couple of days for me, but I am not expecting much hits this month. If I cut down the coffee I think I can make the 7 days without much problem. It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.0

Good morning all.Day two of February's F/Fast and nothing to buy ,or even on my shopping list.Yesterday DD arrived for a long chat and coffee and she wanted to have a walk over to my local precinct which is about three minutes from my house.I said OK but there was nothing I needed really only, perhaps tomato's as I was down to my last two.Anyway bless her she bought some bits she wanted and treated me to tomatos ,OJ,Philly cheese and some crackers and wouldn't let me give her any cash as she said she likes to treat me when she can .She is a good lass bless her, and because she works quite long hours I only see her about once a week .She said "If I bought you flowers they would only die and some groceries will last you longer"
:):) so I definitely don't need any shopping at all this week.I have more than enough milk as I have decided to use up some of the long-life stuff first.Looks as though February has got off to a good start as I still have my Food Budget purse intact
Cheers chums0 -
Morning all - its NSD 1 here of February's frugal fast. Last night I used a Bolognese mix that was lurking in the store cupboard from days gone by, made up a stash and then froze the spare portions. On today's food agenda is a risotto (ish) made from a rice mix and roast chicken with the extra meat being frozen in portions and the carcass being used to make some chicken and veg soup.44 day challenge
1. Pay £650 off overdraft (£ 288/ £650)
2. Lose 12 lbs (4.5/ 12)
3. Use YNAB everyday (6/44)0 -
All the shopping bought, and all necessities packed away in the cupboards. No more shopping for at least another week.£37.76 left in the food purse

Well I'm pleased that I have stayed away from the shops this week and today is Day 7 of f/fasting.Tomorrow I will have to go to buy some fresh veg and some fruit, so that won't break the food purse too much.I am slowly working my way through the stuff indoors in stock as much as I can.The freezer is slightly less crammed now which is good so it means that it too is being used up.
How are the rest of you doing ?

I was thinking I might have to get some milk today. Though I forgot about the free milk that was coming as part of my veg box delivery so at least a couple of days more without having to go out and spend money. It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.0
