    Showing on the website now.

I suppose they are sponsoring the golfer. Never seen that before offering a bonus of 0.10% if he wins a major, how odd!

I am glad I waited now and didn't do the RBS one.

This is just what I was waiting for. DS's Santander loyalty flexible ISA finished on 3 March and DD's on 19 March. The new rates are lousy, and was looking for somewhere to move their money. Had left it too late for NatWest, so this will be perfect.

Need to find out whether I have to wait till nearer 19 March for DD - can't remember if there are any penalties for moving early. Maybe someone else might be able to answer this for me.

    Thanks for the post!

I've just phoned up and transferred my existing Loyalty Flexible ISA over to this new account.

All very efficient, done quickly and the account (which retained sort code and a/c number) has already changed online from Cash ISA to FIXED RATE ISA

Had just the same question so I phoned them. They said that anything deposited between today and 5/5/2012 will get 4% - - so that sounds good.

I was also told that if I transfer from another bank, I should take the transfer form into a Branch so they can date-stamp it. Interest will then be paid from the date they got the transfer request.

The chap in the phone sounded very knowledgable and sure of his facts.

That implies 4% before 5/5/2012 also. It doesn't say the AER is for the period FROM 5/5/2012 but for funds deposited BY 5/5/2012.

Just looks like Nat West that apply that scam of the lower rates for an initial period.

No doubt that will be clarified by someone soon (edit: it already has been)
    I came, I saw, I melted

So if Rory wins the Masters on the 8th April 2012, this 4% automatically becomes 4.1% for the 2-year term?

Not quite. Here's what they say on the website:
The additional one-off bonus is not calculated as AER but as a tax free rate applied to the balance at maturity. The bonus is calculated on the balance including any interest you have had paid back into the ISA. It will exclude the final interest payment payable on 1 May 2014.

Could be a few quid extra if Rory doesn't lose his form (it's happened to the best of the golfers!!) - - but this bonus shouldn't be the major decision factor for anyone.

Hope that is true never can tell with call centre monkeys.

Also you can potentially lock in the bonus 0.1% by laying Rory on a betting exchange, although frankly i think he has a good chance of doing it.
