Feedback requests GRRRRRR!!!!! Sorry this is a vent!!

I wonder how much longer it has taken you to post (more than once) here than to have logged onto eBay and left feedback...
But regardless of that, the seller should not have hassled you for feedback, bad practice and likely to get her not the reaction she wants. They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -

I haven't left fb yet, no. But only because I haven't been back on ebay since I bought the top. When I do eventually get round to leaving fb I'll deal with all outstanding fb at the same time. If you and/or the seller doesn't like it, then frankly that's tough. If fb is a condition of buying/selling on ebay, then that should be made clear by ebay.
As a buyer, I have never looked to see if a seller has left me fb, and I would never dream of sending requests for the seller to do so. But it seems illogical to me for the seller to make repeated requests for fb, whilst at the same time refusing to leave fb for me until I have complied with her request.
But in fact, as indicated above I have already decided to leave positive fb, and to mark her down on DSRs for comms ... so perhaps it might be better for her if I don't leave fb at all, or aren't sellers bothered about DSRs?I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
Surely your vent on here took far longer than it would have if you'd just left feedback.Rule of thumb on ebay buy or sell, happy with transaction, then leave feedback. You appear to me to be a pain in the backside venting your annoyance when the seller has done the sale and its YOU causing all the fuss.
leave feedback and move on.0 -

Just as an aside and I appreciate this isn't comparable, but did you know that Ebay send feedback requests on your (as a seller) behalf. They usually send one, but can send two.0 -

No compromise then?
I'm a seller, oh out of work, we rely on my sales at the min.
My personal policy is that the buyer should leave feedback when they get the item so i know they've received.
This used to be the done thing on ebay.
I had the oposite experience to the op when a buyer purchased then emailed me straight away to leave them feedback. I explained that my policy is pointed out in my listings but i would be quite happy to leave feedback as soon as they let me know they had received the item by messaging me.
The buyer was really aggressive and said that i SHOULD leave feedback NOW.
I offered a compromise and got a 'big fat neg'.
Nothing wrong with the item OR my communication.
Its a pity sellers cant leave negatives, it leaves buyers to think they can do whatever they like without thinking through the effect of their actions on people who are just trying to make a living.:oYour greatness is measured by your kindness; your education and intellect by your modesty; your ignorance is betrayed by your suspicions and prejudices, and your real caliber is measured by the consideration and tolerance you have for others.

I just tell them as a buyer I don't leave feedback until the seller has.
I consider if I have paid promptly, and they have received the funds, my part of the transaction is complete, and the seller should then leave feedback.
It appears to stop them dead.
Not one ever left it, or came back again.0 -

Why would whether or not the RM perform affect you opinion of the buyer?
Alternatively, you'll get a neg from most people if you imply they're scammers.0
