Feedback requests GRRRRRR!!!!! Sorry this is a vent!!

I think I'd have a lot more sympathy with the seller if they weren't holding back on giving their own feedback - presumably if the OP had paid promptly etc then there is nothing stopping the seller giving positive feedback on that. However as they are holding back until the buyer gives feedback, presumably its equally fine for the buyer to hold back until the seller goes first. In other words if you start a stand off don't be surprised if it becomes a stand off!Adventure before Dementia!0

I once bent over backwards to help someone and really put myself out for them and I was very surprised when I did not get any feedback.I feel it is common courtesy and a part of the Ebay process.
That being said, I would never ask for it.
One buyer asked me to post a football item quickly, as it was for her sons birthday. I went out especially that day AND threw in some freebies from the same football team- as i supported them, and had stacks of stuff. No feedback received
Still would not dream of harrassing her though.0 -

The sole focus in the four messsages over the past seven days has been requests for feedback and making it clear that she will not leave me feedback until I have left fb for her.
Of course if paypal was being difficult I would have no problem at all in helping her. But this is just hassle for hassle's sake - she hasn't given me time to even comply with her request, before she sends the next one.
Anyway, thank you all for your comments, they are appreciated.
Why are you being so inconsiderate? You have the item, you really should leave Feedback the day you got it. I would be pretty peeved if I was the seller too.
It takes seconds to click a box just do it!0 -
I must have missed the bit where the OP said it was a business seller, not that it should make any difference.
I know different people leave FB differently, as a seller I leave FB when I've received payment and after I've posted so that I can also let the buyer the item's on it's way.
As a buyer I will only ever leave FB after the seller has.
The sellers who say they will leave FB for me after I have don't get any. If the seller says that they like FB to know the item's got to me ok, I may message them to say it has.
It may be melodramatic to some but I would feel the same as the OP, hassling & offering +FB for giving the same would feel like blackmail.
If I left FB for this seller, it would probably be a neutral for the messages & definitely low stars for comms.0 -
Buyer feedback counts for nothing. Do you sell? Do you understand that usually Paypal withholds your money until the buyer can be arsed to leave positive feedback, meaning you are out of pocket for the postage and the item? You must know that Feedback can make or break your chance of sales.

If buyer feedback counts for nothing then the seller shouldn't have hassled for it.
I sell more than I buy, always leave my buyers FB when I post, unless I had to open a NPB against them, then I don't leave them anything.
It would have taken the seller to click a box to leave her FB first if FB is that important to her.0 -

The OP has the item they should have left feedback as soon as it arrived. It's simple etiquette to finish the transaction.0 -

She isn't a business seller, it is a used top from a private seller.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
So have you left feedback yet?0

Buyer feedback means the feedback the seller leaves for the buyer. It does count for nothing as sellers can only leave Positive ratings.
In that case why is she saying that she won't leave me fb until I leave fb for her? It is pointless. If that is the case she should have left fb for me as soon as I paid, since at that point I had completed my part of the transaction. Or are you saying that the transaction is not completed by the buyer until after they have left fb for the seller?I'm a retired employment solicitor.
